By the looks of glasslands hes probably dead.

Ok now your making me want to read that book…even though everyone says it sucks
i see what u mean but he was very important i dont see him being killed that easily if anyhting he will slip away and hang with lord hood or something but wee keep seeing covenant cruisers around pics of the infinity and there no other covie ship that would be other wise the arbiters
One of the best characters ever in video-gaming.
I want it to be one of those moments though…Where there is no possible chances of survival and the Ancient Enemy is just about to destroy you when.
Your old badass friend The Arbiter comes out of the Portal with an entire Covenant Fleet behind him. Kicking -Yoink-.
THAT would be an iconic moment.
As much as I love Keith David and his work, I don’t think the Arbiter should come back. Frankly, I’m surprised that the Covies are even back in this back. Adding the plot of Elite Loyalists vs. Religious Zealots is just going to muddle up the story. 343 should just focus on the whole Requiem / Forerunner / Promethean business.
I warmed up to him after Halo 3. So as long as they handle him the same way he was done in H3, I’ll be happy to see him return.

I can visualise that moment now, when Chief looks up at the sky and a Slipspace portal opens - A covenant fleet comes out, and Chief, who was previously surrounded by enemies is now surrounded by Drop pods,Elites and Thel Vadam, who is ready to help him face the Ancient Evil.
“Humans and Elites…we’ll face this threat together Spartan. Come my brothers, we must press onward!”
I dont care about thel vadam. I want more half jaw!
Does a Bear -Yoink- in the woods.

Suck? It doesnt suck…
Oh my.
Frankie has confirmed the Arbiter will not be in the campaign but may make a cameo in Spartan Ops.
> I dont care about thel vadam. I want more half jaw!
Oh yeah, definitely. Rtas Vadum is my favorite character besides Chief, Thel, and Didact. I do hope Vadam is somewhere in the campaign, though, if only in cutscenes or even just acknowledged as still being a good friend.

That post was confirmed fake. No information has been released about Arbiter yet.

Spoiler much?

Oh man, R’Tas is awesome, not as cool as Thel but still awesome.

He’s not dead, not by a longshot, but there are several influential Elites that are trying to assassinate him. It’s basically the first thing you learn, though, so not really a spoiler

I said spoiler to stop people from giving away spoilers to books which some people haven’t read - not to make others blab out the whole ending to the book

Everybody is a -Yoink- and wants everyone else dead.
Saved you $20.

Really? Love to see where Frankie says that.

Come one, you think they’re going to kill off the freakin’ ARBITER in some book and not in some 300-esque cutscene? Well, actually, I wouldn’t put it past Karen Traviss, but that’s because she’s, eh, better not finish that thought

That’s about right actually. I’ve heard it described as Traviss’s revenge fanfic against Halsey. The whole plot is basically “Halsey sucks and also some other stuff”.
Gah, can’t even look at it anymore, makes me rage…
