Do you want Scoring or Deaths?

In the “First look” video, we all can see that the player obtains a medal (clip A) and points, which are added to the score of the team. In my opinion, this is some of the things that separate Halo and CoD, and I like more Deaths than Scoring.
What do you think?

Halo: each death is one point.
CoD: each death is X score.

I thought this was going to be a different type of slayer, so you’d have the classic slayer, and then you’d have the one where medals effect the points.

Halo 3 had that system but never used it.
You could make headshot by worth a max of 10 points same for assassinations, pummels, assists and some more that I can’t remember.

They were never used in MM, but Halo definitively had it for a long time…

Yeah I think I remember in Halo 2 playing a game where you get extra points for medals. They were probably just playing with custom games for the press and someone turned it on.

Again they aren’t that different and your title question is score or death … Did you mean to make the title Score for death? In which case it’d be

Halo: 1 score per 1 death
CoD: 10 score per 1 death

Halo 4 trailer: x score per 1 death. x is depending on how the death was achieved …

So the question still doesn’t add up.

Regardless, i hope this new system is exclusive to a gametype or playlist

Yeah, my friend made a gametype in Halo 2 called “Style Slayer” lol. It wasn’t very fun. I prefer when kills are single points, unless we’re talking action sack, then I’m more open.

This is Halo. Not CoD.

Probably just a gametype. 343 know that plain slayer will always be popular. Just look at the halo 3/reach servers and they know that. it will be a new gametype that they are marketing like bungie did for headhunter/invasion.

I would be extremely surprised if they didn’t have a standard slayer gametype.

I like the new way better.
