Do you want MORE credits per game---comment here

Basically I want more credits, I think most of YOU want more credits. Not talking about an isane amount but I feel that doing the daily challenges as they are now should net us between 15-20K credits alone. Weekly challenges should net us between 30-80K. This is just taking way to long to rank up at this point, and some challenges aren’t worth it. Things like kill 1000 enemies on a FF map for 3K aren’t worth it. Sure I get all the credits for the games it takes to get there but the reward is hardly worth it. Right now I get about 5-6K per FF arcade game, so I can play 1 game and beat that challenge.

Or should we all get a bonus at this point for all the challenges we’ve already done? I already have over 1100 dc’s done and 30 wc’s. If 343 threw me an extra 1K per daily and 10K per weekly that would work too. What do you guys think?

Then that would make the game too easy. Halo:Reach’s ranking system is already bad and giving more credits would just make it worse. I think 343 should make a doulble credit week or even triple credit week for players to look forward to.

How is Reach’s ranking system bad. It does nothing but tell how much time you spent on the game (which is now most ranking systems in multiplayer games work).

More on topic: There are plenty of easy ways to collect credits. Giving out more is unnecessary, to say the least. I would, however, like to see the return of Super Jackpot weekends.

Im sorry but i Honestly agree with OP on this one, yes The cr system is horrendous, 1000 credits per game on a 10 minute game 6000 per hour. 10 hours of matchmaking a day gives 60000 thats half the daily limit, one piece of armor costs 120000 to 2000000 depending on your rank. In order to rank up its 100000 to 1000000 credits.

in a week at playing 10 hours straight a day you will recieve 420000 credits…If you play that much games its very unhealthy. Thats a net total of 70 hours of gameplay a week (in matchmaking alone), Alot of people maybe only get 3 hours if they are lucky a day, and not all of it is going to be matchmaking (spread across 4 different game modes)

If you play that much halo you need to get a job or something because thats INSANE.

Lets do the same stats on a player that works and sleeps, and maybe has a social life, with a wife, and also take into acount other activities like cooking, watching tv, school ect.

3 hours a day=18000, 18000*7=126000 thats matchmaking alone, lets say an hour is devoted to matchmaking thats 42000 a week

Now lets say you have friends over alot or you work a massive shift and are to tired to play except on weekends.
At 5 hours a day saturday and sunday only.

Thats 60000.

But wait what if you only play an hour of matchmaking a day for the weekend=12000

The numbers are ATROCIOUS

Short answer= Raise the credits (seriously)

A performance bonus would be good, maybe give the winning team double credits?

I like the idea of a winning bonus… this appeals to me because it gives us a bonus for winning… I’d say the base amount of credits awarded needs to be doubled… or at least x1.5… okay how about this. Take the average population on Reach. How many hours a week do they play? Let’s say the average player plays 20 hours a week. That’s roughly 3 hours (2.8 hours). Now what’s the average rank for these players? Let’s say the average rank is 8,000,000 away from Inheritor.
With roughly 1 year left in it’s lifespan, (come on, are you really coming back to this when Halo 4 launches?) or 365 days with the current system none of those players will reach inheritor. Say they’re earning 5000 cR an hour. With 20 hours a week that’s 100,000 cR a week, 400,000 a month, and 4,800,000 a year. Now I know there’s a few weeks left unaccounted for but these people are going to miss a few days… play a little less than usual… things will come up… so I think it’ll even out… and besides this is all hypothetical anyway. So in order for these players to reach inheritor before Halo 4 comes out (and Reach finally falls) that cR amount needs to nearly double. Now in actuality most of us aren’t even a brig yet (okay… well I’m not… but I just started playing again in June…) soo the amount of cR we get needs to be multiplied by… 10… but I’d be okay with multiplied by 5 and then add a double cR bonus for winning:)
I think everyone should have a chance to reach inheritor before Halo 4 comes out. As of now, only people who play and hit that cap every day will do this… for people like me… we’ll never reach inheritor… ever. So would you mind giving us a hand and implementing this? Oh yeah, and custom games need to give some decent cR so people will start playing them… don’t worry about the system being exploited… just add a separate cap for customs… like 35,000 a day… that way matchmaking won’t die but the community will start up again:) Have Customs give about 5cR per kill, 10,000 cR an hour (make sure the player is active and not just spawn killing or something…), and in theory this will lead to 3-4 hours of customs played a day (or forge… campaign… firefight… ect.) and then the rest in matchmaking… or maybe they’ll just stay in matchmaking… the point is… Bungie got the community hooked on cR and in order to get their fix they have to play matchmaking… let them get their fix in other places but increase the amount of cR given in matchmaking… and lift the cap for matchmaking… That’s it.

I’m a lowly Major grade 1 lol

I’d love a double credit week/weekend once every so often it would attract a lot of people back to reach.

Now im earning 100’000 cR per day but when i’ll return to school i’ll earn only 30’000 cR per day;
Now im a Mythic , 3,5 days away from Noble and i earn about 7’500 cR per game playing premium slayer or premium battle… So when halo 4 will be relased i’ll be about reclaimer or forerunner… I also agree with the idea for 50’000 and 80’000 cR per weekly challenge and 15’000 cR for the dailies…

i think the lower ranks should get more but once you hit mythic and above, you can get so much per game from say FF arcade, FF doubles and Prem slayer and Prem Battle give you the most in MM.

Once i passed Eclipse, it was no fun getting 8k credits that i couldnt use because i had 100% armory.

It would be awesome if you could give away some of your credits to friends to help them out  , i have 11.4mill and to me it’s pretty much useless.

yes make it so you can more credits. i think that the whole ranking system on reach is stupid and too much like call of duty. I personally preferred the 1-50 rank system on halo 3 wher=n it actually required skill to rank up.

However, in reach i think if they gave you more credits each game like 5000 per game or made the jackpots bigger like 50,000cR, reach would be alot funner to play.

The idea of a double or triple credit week also sounds good, everyone would look forward to it. Hopefully they read my post and include more credits in the upcoming title update. One can hope…

keep the normal amount of credits.
If you win, you get 2x the amount. In free for all, you get 3x the amount.

You actually just provided an argument FOR keeping the current credit system. Not everyone should be able to reach the top ranks. As a matter of fact, very few should be reaching the top ranks and majority of people should be at the middle to lower ranks. That’s why a ranking system based on time spent in the game works at showing which players probably know the maps very well. It may not show how good a player is, but H3 already proved that that kind of system is severely flawed as well.

If anything in the credit system needs to be worked on, it’s what determines a high payout. It’s currently based on game length. It should be based on winning first, then objectives, then individual performance. Winning and getting objectives should be the primary focus of the game… moreso than individual performance.

Increasing payouts does nothing but water the ranks down even further. If you want more credits, invest your time playing more wisely. For the longest time I’ve only played the minimum number of games I could to get challenges. That’s why my average credits per game is pretty high. If you don’t like the payouts for specific games, don’t play those games for credits. Pretty simple, really.

If you want to maximize your credits earned per game, play sniperfight in Firefight Arcade. The game will last longer, so you’ll earn more credits. Playing rocket fight or FRG fight sucks because everyone camps spawns and the game length is too short.

I don’t really want more credits per game because even the best multiplayer experiences can get a little dull without progressing through levels, hence the reason that despite some general faults in the game I still love CODs prestige system. One game for instance is Bad Company 2 since you unlock everything by about level 25 out of 50 it can get kinda boring unless your’e in a really good match.

Good ideas by most, any extra credits, no matter how they come would be great. As for the people who don’t want extra credits, I have a question, why? No I mean really, why? The credits you earn don’t actually represent your skill level, so does it really matter? It’s all visual anyway, you’ll go 22 and 7 even if another guy has “your armor”.

And it seems now 343 is costing me credits. After gaining about 14K tonight I was told I reached the cap. So I lost about 5K from the game of FF arcade I had just finished. Played another game and I guess I didn’t actually reach the cap. I WAS awarded my 6100 credits for that game. Thanks 343.

And on a seperate thought, in Halo 4 how about award armor with a combination of credits, rank, AND achievements. Some awarded by one thing, others awarded by combo’s of these things.

Remember to post your thoughts here either way so 343 will hopefully read them and take note. Thanks.
