As we can see, Halo 4 doesn’t have health. As they are subject to change this, I think they should return health packs and health.
Reason for this is that in Reach, I love how you can tell how many bullets it’s going to take to kill you without your shields. In halo 3 however, I did not like how people manage to unexplainabley escape my shots and not be able to tell if I will survive another hit or not.
If they scrap health packs all together, I think they should let you see a bar showing how many hits you’re going to take before dying and should restore after the shields recharge.
Ugh, no, health packs make a terrible system. I didn’t like it Halo 1 and I didn’t like it in Halo: Reach. The bare bones shield system is far superior.

Additionally, if they want to make the HUD more sparse, they could only show health when it is below 100% (still regenerating) and hide when full.

It was quickly regenerating health. Having a bar to display regenerative health is pointless.
Health and Health packs for the win. They should improve upon it though by making it so if your health is damaged at certain percentages then you move slower/jump lower and the visor becomes a bit blurry and what not so players can actually see the need for a health pack. Oh and since they’re being dumb and giving us perks and we’re getting Spartan IV armor maybe make medi-gel a perk so it can be used mid combat to heal or used when no health pack is available at that moment.

That sounds terrible. And the perks aren’t real by the way. Frankie said they aren’t doing anything like that.

Not true - sometimes you are in a fight while your health is still regenerating and not yet 100%. This is particularly important if they lower aim assist and bring back responsive strafing so you can actually outshoot an opponent even while not 100% healthy.

The health regenerates so fast though. It would be pointless. Works great in Halo 2 and 3 without a visible bar.
I really liked the return of health packs in Halo Reach. It returned that “Retro” Halo feel and as Reach was a prequel it made perfect sense.
Do I want health packs in Halo 4? No not really. I want Halo 4 to push things forward and after Halo 2 & 3 it wouldn’t be the right direction to go back.
They could always add health packs into custom game option for people to play around with.
H1 may have had the health and health packs but it actually worked well because of how the shields and damage were.
Reach didn’t turn out so well because of the weak shields and high enemy damage. The union between H1 and H2/H3 turned out to be a disaster, as I should have expected.
Reach could have been a fine successor if it had abandoned the false difficulty.
Absolutely no health packs/health. I am very glad that it is back to the shield system. How can you not tell if you are one shot or two shot? Your shields will be at the approximate level. Complaining about this is just stupid. And besides, the health system from Reach was very buggy, as evident from bleedthrough being introduced.
Also, it would go against canon. Why would they create a system that regenerated your health for you and then decide to not do that in 5 years? It doesn’t make any sense.

Then they’re limited for mentioning them and saying they’re in the game …
Also I like the idea but I will respect that you dislike my idea.
