Do you want Fall Damage in Halo 4?

Edit- Wow I made this thread 5 months ago? Hm…

And on topic, I have changed my mind. I do not want fall damage in Halo 4, but it’s not going to be a game breaker.

So now I want your opinion, do you want fall damage in Halo 4?

Do you want fall damage in halo 4, or even a patch in Reach?

Yes I want fall damage, it creates a needed awareness, one more reason that Halo: Combat Evolved was a superior game. Among other things but thats for another discussion. EDIT: If they keep the gravity setting, you will be able to add or remove the amount of fall damage. (I think) Either way a feature like this would be best, and the ability to use that THRUSTER pack to soften a landing would be good too. (I am not supporting AA’s)

PS I think you should change those "I want"s to "I don’t want"s based on other things in your post.

I don’t think fall damage will be in Halo 4. Why? Well, after MC received his suit upgrade in Halo 2 the ability to be hurt by falling from great heights was moot, thanks to the suits advances. So, unless MC’s wearing a downgraded set of armour it won’t be back. /mytheory

Personally, though, I don’t care whether or not it comes back. It barely effects multiplayer, which is what I play the most. Think about it, there’s no structure high enough that warrants fall damage, not in the default maps, anyway. Unless you’re a jettard. I’m hoping H4 won’t have AAs, though…

I’d like fall damage, but I don’t really want healthpacks. That was one of the changes I actually like from CE to Halo 2.

ideally id have it no fall damage.

I dont really want fall damage but if there is it wont bother me

No I’d rather not have it.

What about the map Spire and some places on Boneyard?

Fall damage? In campaign, either way. In multiplayer, I want to see an option to turn fall damage on or off.

They slipped my mind. I don’t like BTB or Invasion much.

I’d prefer fall damage. Only tiny bits to show that you’re vulnerable. For immersion’s sake.

No fall damage please. It’s annoying and Master Chief should be able to withstand any jumps.

No, I don’t think it will return anyway, like o0MrCheesy0o said the suits upgrades prevent damage by falling, if he can fall from space and survive he can survive in map jumps that don’t even compare, plus it allows more flexibility when playing not having to worry about fall damage means that people can play to their full ability when playing at heights and it makes the use for jet packs obsolete, again freeing up room for tactical game play, with out the reliance of armor abilities like in Reach.

No.

No.

Fall damage just restricts the flow of gameplay in lieu of “r3alisem!1!1!!”

Even if Halo 4 will include this whole concept of fall damage it won’t be a bad game… but to be honest i hate fall damage

I don’t know. It was fun though jumping out of a Banshee knowing you’d survive.

Yeah!

I dont like fall damage plus if this is an advanced suit Chief is wearing then it wouldnt make sense if the armor takes damage from falling
