Like Reach? I personally liked Reach’s approach a lot more than Halo 4’s, as you had more flexibility and could make creations that spanned halfway across the entire map, such as racetracks.
I liked how Bungie segmented the map into multiple sections but still had a huge open skybox, I think 343i should do the same thing, but this time make all the segmented sections of the map different, thematically.
E.g. One side of the map could be an epic tundra/waterfall backdrop, another a more green jungle area, etc.
Perhaps we could even see night/day cycles or weather effects? Would you like anything like this?
So long as it offers different biomes, elements and terrain styles, I’m fine with it.
That said, it’d probably be a better idea to create multiple forge worlds with the same general layout and give them their own biome (while retaining large size) and some terrain suited to that biome.
I would prefer to start from scratch with a terrain editor, but assuming we won’t get one… I would only like to see a Forge World again if there is promise that there will be more Forge maps in DLC (and unique ones at that, with plenty of Forging space) otherwise I prefer Halo 4’s system.
If we would get a good Forge map with every DLC that has it’s own unique pallet and setting (as in: snow glacier, desert dunes, city, forested mountains and so on) I would love to get a Forge World again, but the last thing I want is for it to become like Reach- where we pretty much had one good Forge map with an increasingly repetitive and very ugly gray/green pallets for the game’s entire life (because none of the other Forge maps were good enough).
The First: Weather control, which I think would be doable, or at the very least able to make it look like it was raining or something where the sun isn’t shining
The Second: Textures for the Forge items. A large texture pallet, even making custom textures available which would be awesome, or something so we don’t have the same pieces looking the same on every map. (Though I can take a lot more of the grey Forerunner then the off white UNSC)
We need to get to use all of Forge World this time. That means no more dumb kill boundaries, and letting players use all of the map, not that one tiny area that when you look at a picture of the entire map makes you upset that you’re restricted to that.

Wow… How much I loved not being able to Forge around the Waterfalls…
RETURN TO THE BATTLEFIELD
That always drove me insane whenever I encountered it.
What about the same map, but a different texture for each? Like there would be grassy, tundra, volcanic, industrial, swamp, etc? To add more diversity I would like time settings and weather settings as well, like dawn, day, dusk, night, snow, and rain.

I tried to echo this (particularly the 2nd paragraph) in the OP, but I feel like you did a better job than me on that

I would love this, I just fear the Xbox wouldn’t be able to process all that +nice graphics, 60FPS, dynamic lighting and a huge object budget as well as maintaining texture clarity (with little to no jaggies).
If 343i pulled this off, they’d be technical wizards in my eyes.
