Do you try and clamber in old halo games?

I find myself going back playing old halo games on MCC and i try to clamber when i don’t make the jump its funny how a little thing is so important. I think it was a great addition to the series. Here’s hoping it stays around for now on. What are you thoughts on clamber and do you try and do it in older Halo games?

I have to answer yes, and get killed in the process!

No!

And yet you allowed the casuals to desecrate to holy trilogy with their filthy spartan abilities!

I do on halo 4. I hope it stays in future games

Clamber and yes.

I tend to get used to whatever movement controls I use in the newest game. I have trouble going backwards. Even when I play another FPS for a short period I tend to play through the campaign a time or two to get used to the controls again before I step into multiplayer. Same things true in my annual 'play through all the halo’s weekend."

No, though I kinda wish it was a thing from the get go in 2001. Really would’ve helped in certain scenarios (looking at you 343GS and AOTCR)

Also in the Maw when you blow up engine shield and the shaft retracts if you don’t jump right you can’t get back up.

Hell No. Sure I sometimes get tripped up switching controls from game to game. But never a thing like clamber.

As far as it returning I can live with out it but yes I have tried. same with boosting and sprinting. on legendary halo 2, I’m hiding from sniper jackal and a pack of brutes on the last mission and I wanted to head back and grab a beam rifle so instead of thinking “duh, I have camo” I tried to sprint for the door. you can probably figure out how far I made it.

Yup, too often. I also try to dodge incoming fire with imaginary thrusters.

No, not at all.

That garbage can stay in Halo 5. When I play older Halo games(which has been all of the Halo playing I’ve done in the past year. I don’t touch Halo 5 anymore), I keep all of that “ability” nonsense totally out of mind.

Clamber, bruh.

I only do it for the first game or two because I’m so used to doing it in H5, but I stop after that.

Looks up definition of camber
“Uhh…”
Realizes he meant “clamber” not camber
Cries

Yep same here. I’m used to using my B button (thrusters) as a panic button. it doesn’t work to well on older games. And do to this I have axe dentally mashed my B button
