343i has implemented multiplayer as canon, meaning your Spartan is canon. I assume Halo 4 and 5 is your same spartan. But with the UNSC dead and assuming the Infinity destroyed, do you think our multiplayer Spartan died ;-;
And Infinite is a new Spartan willing to fight~~… itd be sad really

I keep seeing people claim the Infinity has been destroyed, but I don’t think that’s been confirmed anywhere has it? I’d be very surprised if the Infinity was destroyed and we didn’t see it occur in game.
The fact that we very briefly see a lot of red bubbles in a projection during a trailer doesn’t hold enough gravity for me to think that alone is enough evidence that the Infinity is gone unless it’s destroyed during Infinite’s campaign.

That’s honestly what I was thinking, because all of the blips were labelled Infinity but they were just the escort team and onboard attack force. Unless we see evidence that the Infinity has met a gruesome end in a novel or during the campaign, I don’t think we can say that she’s down for the count just yet.

I agree with you guys on this one, in Shadows of Reach - the Infinity still exists and is in full service! I think the book was supposed to fill in the gap between 5 - Infinite and so far we should be expecting the Infinity to be in-game to begin with (at the very least)

I know I already replied, but i didn’t actually put down my thoughts on the OP’s question of ‘is your MP spartan dead?’
I actually think the opposite of that. My gut tells me that Infinite’s MP takes place after Infinite’s launch campaign has already concluded.

My personal canon is that my Spartan is a Spartan III from Gamma Company and thus was not deployed to Reach so…maybe? The UNSC is widely scattered so anything is possible.
