Do You Think We'll Visit a Halo Ring?

Considering the fact that Halo 4 is part of the main Halo saga(Halo 1-6), and each numerical game in the series has featured a Halo ring, do you think we’ll be returning to a Halo installation in Halo 4?

We already know that a major portion of the game will be set in the Forerunner Shield World ‘Requiem’, but do you think the fight will lead us out of Requiem and to another Halo array?

I hope not, we’re done with all that. Let’s move on.

YES!

Well there’s still Halos left and they can still kill sentient life on a galactic scale and the franchise is still called Halo…so yeah, they will show up sooner or later in the trilogy.

The official main menu screen features a destroyed planet, and a halo so I’d assume so

6 rings are still active so we’ll probably see them again at some point.

In War games it would be likely. I want certain Halos from Fiction to make an appearance, Installation 03 (ONI controlled) and Installation 07 (Super Halo). I would also love to see the Greater Ark, though i fear this will be seen in Halo 5 or 6.

I’d wager the Ring seen on the Main Menu and the cover art(Which is also Halo 4 Concept Art) of Halo: Primordium, is Installation 07. That also brings up the question. Both are related to Halo 4, so we will likely see one in either Halo 4’s Main Campaign or Spartan-Ops.

That menu screen was placeholder I’m pretty sure. Didn’t even show any other modes, (Spartan Op’s, War Games), only Campaign.

But yes, the Halo’s are sure to make a return, there’s still things that we don’t know about them.

Hard to say…but i dont think in 4…

in spartan ops we are still on requiem so we may be stuck there throughout the entirety of halo 4…unless we destroy the dyson sphere and are able to come and go as we please or something…

Pics?

Actually, Spartan-Ops takes place six months after the end of Halo 4’s campaign, esssentially continuing it and bridging the gap between Halo 4 and 5. Now, there are missions on Requiem, but if i’m not mistaken, at the end, they are leaving Requiem as hinted at somewhere. I’ll try not to go any farther than that. I do think that eventually they will leave though. Whether its at the end of the campaign or sometime during Spartan-Ops.

There you are.

Are they? I thought they became inactive when the Ark was destroyed. Or are they just no longer able to be remotely detonated?

Either way, somebody will probably try to use the remaining rings for some purpose in Halo 5 or 6. I think all of Halo 4 will take place on Requiem, because 343 has mentioned they were in inspired by the singular location of Halo: CE.

We’ve only had a glimpse at the first set of missions. It’s very likely that we’ll leave Requiem. Maybe not in season 1, but farther down the road near the NextBox and Halo 5’s release, I bet we may even visit human planets.

After the Lesser Ark was destroyed, the remaining Halo Installations(01, 02, 03, 05, 06, and 07) were left on stand-by and could still be activated individually. As for rings 08-12, I don’t think any of them are still around except for maybe one. I’m not sure. 07 is heavily damaged though, I know that and 05 is obviously a ball of glass at this point.

Are you serious? The game is CALLED HALO! Wow, I think I have lost all faith in this community…

and Final Fantasy was titled for being the very last game from the developers.

I don’t know about that. But seriously, I will be severely disappointed. I’m fine with the game detailing events/having a sort of leverage having to do with the Halo rings, or a story based on them in some way, otherwise, why didn’t they rename the game?

Hopefully only in Halo 6 just to kind of bring the game full circle.
