We all know that Chief will getting new armor that looks like his classic Halo 2/3 Mark VI. Do you think we’ll see his Halo 4/5 armor in Halo Infinite? I hope there’s a prologue that shows him in his 4/5 armor and then switching to his classic-looking armor. Aside from getting to see this armor one last time, it’ll give an explanation in the game why Chief’s armor looks different and how he got this armor. What’d you think?
I’m more in favor of the older armor sets myself, but I can’t deny the appeal of Master Chief’s bulkier set from Halo 4/5, and wouldn’t mind seeing it come back as at least a customization option.
To be honest, I’d be really pissed if the GEN2 sets were “retconned” as a result of the classic armor designs coming back. It’s true that not all of them were winners like the Keurig-boombox monstrosity or the numerous “knuckleheads” as I call them, but a few designs were actually decent. I really hope GEN2 sets will stay around for Infinite.
At the very least, I’d love to create a “frankensuit” of GEN1 and GEN2 armor bits.
The few Gen2 sets I wish would return are; Centurion, Mark V Delta, All the reach throwback armours, Mark IV, Argus, Athlon, Operator, Deadeye, Scout gen2
I think 343 needs to get over with the classic to one side and modern to the other. Easy solution, mix everything together and we have something new. In Halo 5 we had some glimpse that we can have the modern armor sets living together with the halo 3 helmet pack and it works fine.
I think it would be pretty sick to see chiefs halo 4-5 armor added as customization. I always liked his 4-5 armor but I much prefer the classic
They didn’t do it when they introduced the Chief in Halo 4. Why should they do it now?
I hope so to some extent. Maybe not a majority of the H5 armors (like Seeker), but I would like to have my Locus helmet back.
I think it’s highly likely. I also think some armors will return with a twist on the original design, or at least they will return in name.
If there’s an actual lore reason for the armour change I’m sure we’ll get something of the old new (what?) armour. If it’s solely an artistic change then no, which I’d totally be fine with.

Yes and i hope for start armor the new version of the recruit armor

I see that you have Challenger armor, pretty impressive
I’m curious to see how they pull off the armor change in the story. Personally I was not a fan of the H4 armor style. H5 was a bit better but this new look is taking the cake so far.
I hope that the 4/5 armor still shows up in Halo Infinite because it would be a mistake to just drop the armor like it didn’t exist. We need a canonical reason as to why the armor is different from Guardians to Infinite.

It would be so cool to have the 4 armor as a skill-based unlockable like Recon in H3. That would be awesome.
I hope the gen 2 armour is removed for ever , I hate master chief halo4\5 armour .343 finally did something right by bringing back the h3 armour .Master chief looks like the master chief ,it only TOOK 12-13 years!!!lol
Possibly at end game, he might even get newer armor at the end of Infinite.
I just wish we get to see Poncho Chief in the prologue before he gets his new armor.
