I sure hope so. For the faults in this game I feel like there are actually more positives. I still play it quite a bit even though it’s far from perfect. Truth be told it’s about the only game I actually enjoy playing. Not a big fan of the major FPS games and they have a ton of issues just like we have here on infinite ( although most get resolved a lot quicker ). I’m hoping season 3 brings some more people back or at least helps pacify the die hards. Would love to see more maps especially BTB maps, no cross play or at least the option to switch it off, pre and post game lobby’s., get some of the weapons fixed or just dump them altogether. lots of things can be fixed and improved. Just hope to see it happen. Since I’m throwing out things that would be cool. It would be fun to have a map that was dusk/ nighttime and use night vision or thermal imaging to play…… maybe in season 9.
Thats not really any better. It may not be as malicious, but is just as distressing.
If someone screws up (h5 not having splitscreen co-op) and promises to make it up to you, then goes ‘nah sorry, too hard’ thats…a pretty terrible look. 343 should have made putting in co-op a priority, but it was clearly delayed as long as possible before just dropped.
This is especially egregious as Co-Op wasn’t a free mode, it was part of the campaign we had to pay for. A campaign that’s already overpriced. People bought the campaign with the promise splitscreen co-op would be there. But now, long, long after any sort of refund could be offered, we’re just told “nah sorry, no-splitscreen”.
343 routinely promises what should be the basic expectation for a halo game, but can’t even meet those goals. There’s a reason people want them out.
Didn’t we already ask this when waiting on S2 and Forge and the Winter Update?
Not trying to bash you or say you can’t hope. But it feels like we’ve just ben pushing the goal post back for over a year now.
Like I a lot of people here, I don’t feel that it will be ‘enough’ to get the ball rolling again
I also like to keep things optimistic, and I do feel like S3 could be a great opportunity to turn things around
I feel with the official release of Forge, and some revision on the Matchmaking playlists, this is what could help turn things around in the right direction
What I feel will really help the game is better discourse/interaction with it’s community, creating a far better balance of Competitive and Social playlists & most importantly, improving on their PR and looking to mend their relationship with the community as much as possible 
The only way I could see 343 making a come back is to

Fixing all the bugs, and getting rid of all hackers, and making the game fun for all types of players and not just competitive players.

Stop lying to their community and making up dumb excuses for everything.

Making matchmaking not about how you win but just winning the game.

Bring in brand new content and experience to Halo Multiplayer. Having that scope less DMR and the same exact bubble shield from Reach but as equipment with different visual effects so you can’t see threw it isn’t going to cut it for new content.

Making a option to turn off cross play with the PC Port. Campaign is ok but anything in Multiplayer isn’t.
The other big problem 343 needs to figure out is a working rewarding system that’s not copying off another franchise. But at the same time it gives all types of players something to look forward to down the road for short and long-term. For example

Halo Reach cR System was perfect for earning cosmetics in the game.

MCC Avatar and Nameplate System was perfect for extra achievements in the game that people can be proud about.

Halo 5 Accommodations System was close to perfect for short and long-term goals across the entire Multiplayer game.
If 343 can do these things above then Halo as a whole will be looking bright.

Yeah infinite’s been doing a lot of waiting around hoping the game will be good one day.
Infintie needs something big. It needs something flashy. It needs to not be borked up with stupid ideas. I don’t see it coming any time soon though. Forge was pretty much the biggest thing for infinite 343 has even announced and while popular for a bit the interest is fading fast.
There’s been no word of more campaign or firefight, and if recent news is anything, we’re years (if ever) away from it.
Every indication they’ve been given isnt that they’re saving up for a big ‘game saving’ update. Instead it feels more they are scrambling to get done what they can.
It absolutely does need something big and flashy to get people back but they have to have fixed all, or at least most, of the issues that drove people away in the first place or they will just leave again.
Thinking about it like that the release of Forge was essentially wasted from a PR perspective. If they had fixed everything else and delayed forge for a big release along with some other content it might actually have been better in the long term. We would have hated them for it at the time though.

This is one of the biggest things I’ve always kept in mind - they’re human people working hard jobs.
They’ve removed lobby and campaign theatre since H4, even players’ ID in H5. They wanted their version of Halo , removed a lot from sandbox and never add them back. They didn’t make any BTB maps in H5.
After 6 years they only had to promote an ancient BTB mode without heavy vehicle’s respawn at start.
What were these Multiplayer Directors thinking? This is the way you loved Halo/Job? By removing features Halo gamers preferred and not figuring out something really cool and lead the trend within 6 years?
Is there even a date for Season 3? I Always thought it would be february but apparently it’s months away…
I think it’s slated for early March.
I really hope and wish they finally got their suff together and pull off a 180 with S3 and onwards, but im skeptical and dont expect too much

Yeah but you know everyone will come back to check out the battle royale. maybe halo will be a full working game by then and people stick around.
My friend group does not play BR’s. Nor do I… thats a bad investment for Halo from my perspective
who has told you that a BR is a good thing in the first place.
look is at battlefield BR game how it has become a good fail and has only damage the serie’s more.
any BR game or mode do’s not automatic means its become a big sucses like fortnite has become or Warzone from cod.
look at apex where you hear notting about it any more.
and there are a lot off other BR game’s you hear notting about it any more.
and still look is good at the campaign mode from halo infinite with there open world setting how bad that has become.
that is also more proof that shows that a open world setting do’s not automatic means it become’s a sucses.
the only things like that to become a sucses is that the developers most know really good what it most have in the first place.
that means there need to learn a lot and study first from other game’s and learn from the good things and the mistake’s there have make.
learn the effect’s from both good and bad from this before you make your own open world game or any BR game.
and we have see in halo infinite that the developers not have done that with the open world campaign mode and have fail with it hard.
so if there make now a battle royal mode for halo its going to fail compleet hard and only do’s more damage to the serie’s then doing good.
and the bigst part is the contant flow for the BR most be perfect and cant have any delay’s at all.
not bothered about the br personally but it will be a good opportunity to get people to try the whole game again when its in a better state.
