Forward Unto Dawn is as close as we’ve come to a Halo movie or Halo related movie. It looks great and really enjoyable, especially how it’s focused around other characters outside of Master Chief. With Microsoft investing $3 Million, if this succeeds don’t you think a Halo movie is something that could happen!

They better, it’s something every Halo gamer has wanted and the FUD series proves that Ms are considering it.
I definitely think it’s safe to say that the [probable] success of Forward Unto Dawn will reignite some Hollywood interest in a Halo movie (at least in some capacity). 
Forward Unto Dawn is pretty much a Halo movie. If you watch all episodes together it’s 90 minutes long. If you get the LE edition it’ll probably be in movie form. Plus it shows there is possibility for an actual movie to be done.
Could they? Yes. I say the possibility of it depends on the reception of Forward Unto Dawn.
It is a movie, by all means. Is it a blockbuster movie? As Master Chief would say, “Not yet.”
Yes. They NEED one.
If they make a Halo movie, they should actually not direct it’s target audience to be Halo fans…
I know this doesn’t make much sense at first, but hear me out. I think in order to make the prime Halo movie, they would have to have it appeal to fans of Alien and the original Predator (NOT AVP, those sucked). Know what I mean? Think Ridley Scott, think less CGI, more original props, think a hint of District 9, just a hint.
I think Forward Unto Dawn is a test, to see how the fans react and how much money they make off it.
But pls dont make a typical Hollywood action movie with dumbed down storyline and characters! Make it like FuD, with great care, make it canonical.
Forward Unto Dawn will be your answer if a Halo movie will happen.
if FUD succeeds, a Halo movie will happen.
if FUD fails, you can kiss your Halo movie goodbye.
if FUD only catches the fans, you can expect another FUD-like movie.
I highly doubt FUD will fail. so, while a Halo movie would be amazing, another FUD-like movie would do for me.
I want a movie but it needs to feel real world and have some grit with an ultra high tech edge.
IMO FUD feels too clean and clinical atm with a very self indulgent almost sickening hero maker feel.
Needs to have some BITE!

With FUD and the existing live action a film school nerd could edit up an awesome “movie,” already.
In regards to if MS could make a new live action movie; I do believe that is what they are gearing up for. FUD may be a proof of possibility , a signal to the studios.
They could do it, but the question is, would it be good? Or would it be successful(Money Making)?
Yes it could be if the right director was chosen, a quality script was chosen, if they stayed tight and don’t become overconfident with FUD or anything else.
It can be made… Just do it right, MS.

Forward Unto Dawn is that gap with a bridge being built over it. Frankie said that Forward Unto Dawn is the closest we may get [as fans, core and beginners] to an actual full-feature movie. With that being said, I personally think that the chances get a little bigger, but not much.
Making that series will be enough, to begin with.
I think they CAN do it but the more important questions are SHOULD they do it? Could they infuse the love and dedication for halo into a movie to satisfy fans without alienating newcomers or will they change things to make a generic blockbuster movie that the fans will hate

As much as I want a Halo movie, in my opinion, Halo wouldn’t make a good movie without some changes. It just wouldn’t have a strong enough protagonist. The Master Chief is essentially suppose to be you, the player. Even though he’s explored in the novels, the majority of the target audience most likely haven’t read the books. It would just be another generic pew pew CGI movie, with no established plot. Other than to give backstory to Halo 4, I think that’s why Lasky is the main character in FuD, and not the Chief, which is why it would work. I also think that 343 wants to do a Halo movie, which is why they are giving Master Chief more of a personality. (Keep in mind, my opinion)
