I always thought that they changed it to “Saga”, not because there would be more “main games”, but because they were branching out to more than just Halo 4,5, and 6. I mean you could be right, there could be Halo 7+, but I saw it as meaning there will be the trilogy PLUS extras, such as new books, spinoff games (Spartan Assault, Halo Wars 2, etc), and animated series.
What I’m saying is, we have confirmation for at least a Halo 6, but we don’t have confirmation whether “Saga” was referring to a Halo 7, or a more expanded universe via other games/media.

117’s story ends with 6, but there still is a reclaimer saga, and the reclaimer might not be 117, i hope it is Olympia Vale.

Well considering what the Devs said, “Halo 6 Development is already underway” and the whole “Reclaimer Saga” I’d say we got a few more to go.

I think the more appropriate question is, will Microsoft ever stop commissioning Halo games? And with Phil Spencer’s attitude that “Halo is Xbox”, I can’t see them ending the universe any time in the foreseeable future. Will it always star John (or “star”), not likely. The series has branched out to tell the stories of the ancillary characters in the universe plenty already (Reach, ODST, Spartan Assault, Halo Wars, Spartan Assault and Strike, to a lesser-ish extent, Halo 2 and 5 with so much dedicated to Arbiter and Locke in the two games respectively). I think as long as Microsoft is committed to making a console each generation, we’ll continue getting games in this franchise. I mean, it is an Xbox console seller, regardless of all the forum negativity.
They’re going to drive this series into the dirt, there will be MANY MORE Halo games across several platforms.

ya, right after I put this topic up I saw dat. halo wars is awesome
a saga is five right? so 3 more i would say of the main games. i think it will be 6 on this platform the other two on the next platform.

After Locke rescues the Chief from the Cryptum, they head back to the UNSC where Chief and Blue Team are dismissed from duty for failure to follow orders. John, being the legend that he is, decides it would be funny not to explain the Cortana situation to anyone, and leaves the silly humans to fend for themselves while he retires to Castalloneta, on the sunny side of Saturn, and enjoys the time he has left until Cortana destroys the universe with the Halo rings.
