As an addendum to my previous post (as well as a side note regarding villains), I think there’s a couple of quotes from Megamind that are on point. “You’re a Villain Alright, Just Not a Super One” and “What’s the difference between a villain and a super-villain? Presentation!”
Point being that Atriox (while not being a literal supervillain) feels like a more compelling villain than the Didact or Warden. He felt more personal and direct as a villain. And this style influences the Banished villains of Halo Infinite to an extent. And as for presentation, well, I feel like that goes without saying.
