so with the release of bo3 in a week and fallout 4 following shortly after, do you think the halo 5 population will survive? 343 will have to do something big to draw players back in, because as much as we all hate to admit it, cod is more popular than halo at the moment, and there hasn’t been a fallout game in years so people are egar to play it. i know 343 said they have no plans for it, but they should defiantly think about adding some kind of story dlc, or spartan ops season 2. i really don’t want this game to turn into halo 4 or mcc. what do you guys think?
Halo 5 population will obviously survive. How long will it survive until the population drops drastically is the real question.

It might go on for a while, but I doubt I’ll stick around. I am planning to play every now and then, but it’s obvious that they’re trying to force you to buy the REQ packs in order for you to unlock different things because you can’t actually earn them just like that. You gotta put in some real effort during matches in order to be high enough to earn rewards and if you’re not good or don’t care enough to play that hard than your option will be to spend money, and I am not doing that so I won’t be unlocking much and won’t be caring soon either.
On the bright side, this supports a more competitive atmosphere for the game. One that I do not care for, but assume that might attract those who are into these things.
Unlikely given the other games on the immediate release schedule. Look at the forum posts, far too many at this stage that point out the problems with this game. From the aim issue, map design, scoring, etc. it’s not looking good.

When BTB and Forge comes out it’ll get stronger. Right now the competitive side of the community will keep it going, and when the new stuff comes, it’ll get better.
The game is good…its just not what everyone was expecting.

I think they decided against it because of population comparisons to other games. Regardless, I think the gameplay is good enough this time around to keep a good amount of players.
The gameplay is good but the ranking system is pretty bad, and warzone is kinda irritating when you get spawn killed and waste req cards or the enemy steals your boss kills. I don’t think the population will survive unless they quickly make improvements and additions.
It will survive its halo afterall but the upcoming games such as fallout and battlefront will take alot of players from halo 5

This is Halo were talking about, I am sure that there are still people playing Halo 3 online right now, the only communities that beats Halo is Counter Strike and Team Fortress Classic, and those games have almost been out for 20 years.
It’s probably going to suffer the same fate as H4 IMO, I don’t see the game still having a large community a few months from now.

I think you will see a drop when COD comes out in a couple of weeks for two reasons, 1.) lack of maps. and people still think that people will have to pay extra for them. 2.) Its a lot harder to aim in this game compared to every other previous game. I think #2 will run more people away than anything else. I hope I’m wrong.
