They did some amazing things in ODST and their attitude matches those of Spartan IV’s.

Possibly. We don’t know anything about what happened to any members of “The Squad” after the events in ODST. I imagine that Dutch probably retired. Buck might have, but he might have settled down with Dare. We don’t really know. Hopefully Catalog or a data drop will tell us what happened to them.

I personally hope that Buck and Veronica settled down and started a family after the war. I wouldn’t mid if the rest of the team became Spartan-IV’s however.

I personally feel that they’re better suited for ODSTs just because of their personality, however I have no doubt that they’d make great Spartans.

The spartan IV who says “ready…let’s go” in the Halo 5 Beta announcement trailer was Nathan Fillion. So maybe they are Spartan IV’s, who knows. I would think they would certainly be offered.

It was actually confirmed. A looong time ago so there’s quite a lot of internet to dig through. I’ll try to find the confirmation, but it was just a passing mention.
