Do you think that halo 4 would be as good as

It looks if it didn’t have the halo title on it.Lets just say its the exact same game but it just didn’t have the halo title on it and was a completly new game. do you think it would perform as well as it is?.

Honestly, I believe that no matter how a game may be, even if it were the exact same game as a Halo game but under a different name, it would never do as good or be as popular as a Halo game. This is just because of the name Halo. Same with CoD. The name is popular enough to make the game. If another CoD was made under a different name, it would never be as popular as CoD. Just a fact of life.

My speculation on paradoxes is that they can only be created with thought. A rose by any other name would still smell just as sweet.
So either it’s Halo, just not named Halo, but it’s still Halo.
Or it’s not Halo and it’s not called Halo but instead it’s something like… Oh say let’s say Tribes or Unreal.

k.

sells wise probably not, but I’m sure you would love the game just as much.

Take the word ‘Halo’ off the box and to me it’s still a AAA title… a game I see myself playing happily until 5 and 6.

I think it would be like a store brand good vs Named brand goods. They’ll both be good but most would go towards the other simply because people know its good and they don’t want to spend money on the store brand to see if its just as good or not.

Just my take.

yeah to an extent. Take into account that if halo 4 wasn’t the next halo then halo reach would still be considered the last one. And we all know how bad that game is ( i wont go into detail) so the game’s only competition would be black ops II which already seems to be losing its fanbase. Black ops would still win financially but this game would get more praise for doing something fresh

It wouldn’t be as popular just because there are people who are reluctant to try out new games. They’d prefer to stick with something they recognize and know is a good game. Honestly, if it weren’t a Halo game, I probably wouldn’t even care about it unless someone said it was a lot like Halo.

Better marketing = more players. Most gamers seem like they’d try anything mainstream.

That is because we’re guaranteed an improved, similar and great experience. We know what to expect.

I don’t particularly like exploring new titles as I don’t know what to expect. I just stick to what guarantees me a good game. :stuck_out_tongue:
