it took 3 games for us to reach spartans IV(cocky spartans imo) will it take us a few more games like halo 5 or 6 to introduce the new generations of spartans
more likely to see second class of spartan IIs or be introduced to the 3rd company of spartan IIIs
I don’t want Spartan V’s. If anything the Spartan IV is the culmination of the Spartan Program. Not in terms of skill but in terms of how easily they are created. The next should just be upgrades to augmentations, cybernetics and equipment. And yes I would also rather see Gamma Company of the Spartan lll’s.
The spartan IV program is still relatively new. Gen 2 armor is described as “faster and stronger” than Gen 1 armor, HOWEVER, Spartan II’s fighting skills are on another level. Chief, Sam, and Kelly fought like 9 trainers who were wearing MK I suits, with their BARE hands. They were even denting the metal and kicking trainers down.
Beisdes the SIV’s being relatively new, they’re also supposed to be the last generation. As in, all new Spartan recruits will fall into the SIV Branch. The Spartan II and III Programs were shut down because of morality reasons, so we won’t be seeing any new recruits for those programs.
Your not taking in universe time periods in to account. Spartan IIs were in development prior to first contact. the S-III program started 21 years before the S-IV program.
If there’s going to be a Spartan-V program, I think something big must happen in the Halo universe first. Introducing new generations of Spartans without reason is silly, especially seeing as the Spartan-IVs are still new.
Personally, I think we’ll see Spartan-Vs when humanity gains tier-1 technology. At that point the Spartans would be on part with Forerunner combat skins. After all, Halsey spoke of Spartans as being humanity’s next step as a species, and she was manipulated by the Librarian’s Geas. However, this only seems possible after visiting the Absolute Record or after the Reclaimer Saga as a whole.
I doubt there would be Spartan-V’s especially so quick after the Spartan-IV’s
I know this may seem pretty out there, but I keep thinking it lately…
ONI has no morality at all, as we know, even though they claim to by scapegoating Catherine Halsey for the ethics of the Spartan 2 program.
What is to say they haven’t taken the gene markers Halsey mapped from her program and actually perfected test tube babies who would have been bred to be perfect war machines?
Spartan 5s?!
Dolly the Sheep was possible in our modern era…

Osman seems to geniunly be on the halsey hate train, unlike parangosky who was just scapegoating her. I don’t see her signing on for such a program.
Yes, there will be a new generation Spartans in Halo 5. Spartan V’s. In Halo 6, there will be Spartan VI’s. And on and on.
Please, be serious. SIVs are already unecessary. (IMO)

My opinion as well.
I really hope they don’t add any more generations of Spartans. They almost lost my interest with the introduction of Spartan IV’s. I would leave Halo if there are even more Spartans lol.

There were only Spartan II’s on the first trilogy so I think they’ll keep the IV’s for now. But! You never know they may have other things in mind. My only question is how could they possibly improve on the IV’s?
Unless the Spartan Branch get’s destroyed and Musa falls from grace, there will be a Spartan V Program. ONI and NAVSPECWEP want to have spartans, and they aren’t very happy with this new organisation that takes them away from their control.
With research on augmentations and Mjolnir, they will soon have all the technologies Halsey predicted in her journal, two previous programs as experience help them and now they know they can invest much more money because it’s worth it. They only need the children with the right genetics to be born.

More reason to dismantle the Spartan branch. And again ONI wants to save money, the Spartan IV program must cost a lot of they are supplying thousands of adults with top of the line augmentations and GEN2 MJOLNIR Armor.
I had a theory that ONI would make their own Spartans (Spartan V’s). They would use this as their personal army (like Locke). So when hell breaks loose between the UNSC and the lying ONI, they’ll be ready.
S-I: technology demonstrator.
S-II: produce a small number of elite soldiers for black operations, where conventional troop deployment would be politically infeasible.
S-III, S-IV: produce a relatively large number of soldiers for conventional battles.
Spartan-IVs may be good, but by design they don’t fill the niche left by the S-II program. It’s entirely possible that some faction within UEG (probably ONI) decides to initiate a modern-day equivalent.

. Agree - ONI- UNSC currently have no reason to do anything other than make another class of Spartan 4’s or improve current augmentations.

But the S-III’s also had elite, black ops groups, and Halo 5 is looking like Locke and his squad set a similar precedent for the S-IV’s
Unless the UNSC lost all its equivalents to special forces and black ops teams, the S-IV program should be perfectly capable of adopting them.
