A good example would be Ragnarok. I loved Valhalla back in Halo 3, but seeing this map kinda hurts my eyes. Hopefully there’s a filter in forge to tone it down. Anyone else feel the same.
yeah it’s a little annoying, where you’re in a dark area, all the land being hit buy sunlight become BEAMINGLY BRIGHT. it’s like half of your screen is just white, granted for a second a most but yeah. might hurt situational awareness a bit, i’ll see how it looks on my TV though.
double post… got some weird server error and refreshed the ‘posting comment’ page… that probably had to do with it.
Ragnarok did seem a little too bright, but I haven’t seen enough gameplay of that map to come to a solid conclusion. Haven on the other hand, is the one I’m concerned about being too bright.
No not really, try lowering your brightness down a bit.
The recent gameplay from Ragnarok has me worried - I don’t want to be playing a multiplayer on a map like that, where you can’t really see anything at all if you’re in a dark place. I hope that the guy who recorded it just had some weird settings on his capture device or something.
If you’re on about the same video I saw, I think its just the recording.
The first thing I do when I load up any game for the first time is turn the brightness up all the way. Besides, the entirety of Reach was bland enough for two games.
I hope that was just the video. Battlefield 3 has huge glare issues and I hope Halo 4 does not have them as well. Unless they add polarized visors as an upgrade or something…something they should have done in Battlefield 3.
People, there has been a such thing as “screen brightness” in the options menu since Halo 3. If it’s too bright, LOWER it. Think man, think…

My thoughts exactly. When I watched the video I thought, “Wow, that’s really bright. I hope it’s not…wait, I can just change the brightness. I bet someone will post on the forums about it though.” And sure enough, a few have.
Well, I thought Halo Reach looked crap (aesthetically), until I actually got it onto my HD TV. I agree OP, but it might not be as bright as we think… Lol…
