TSIA, do you think Season 2 will happen? I love the story, characters, and cutscenes, but the gameplay and repeteveness of the maps really has brought it down for alot of us.
I think, if they improve the mistakes of Season 1, Spartan Ops would be great.
Season 1.5 did some of that, but they weren’t able to make all of the alterations they wanted to in time due to time constraints.
With that said, I suppose as long as they improve on their mistakes, it’ll be great.
Also, I think reception has been well enough to warrant another season.
Even if we do have to pay for it, I think it’ll be worth it.
I think there will be, but we would have to pay for it.
> I think there will be, but we would have to pay for it.
Yep. I think they’ll do another season, but I also think it depends on how many people actually play SO, which I don’t really know.
If they’ve got enough people playing it to make a Season 2 profitable, they will do it.
Season 1.0 had achievements but Season 1.5 did not because it was free. So if Season 2.0 is paid DLC, then that should add more achievements. One achievement should be complete a Spartan Ops chapter on Solo Legendary Flawless and maybe even specify which chapter - one that does not have UNSC vehicles (board a Wraith first time without dying on Legendary and you deserve it). There is no doubt about it, achievements add interest, as saving the Scientists now means something more than just a telling off from Roland.
I also thought they could make Season 2.0 free to War Games DLC map pass holders, as it can utilise the 9 War Games maps and textures and would be an added incentive to buy the map pass if war games isn’t really your thing. Much in the same way that the Defiant DLC added the Unearthed map to Firefight in Reach.
I really hope so. But, in regards to having to pay for it, I don’t think they should do that. They made it clear that SO was complimentary to the single player campaign. It also leads up to the events of Halo 5, i think. So if they charge for season 2, they would have to find a way for the story to make sense in the next full installment for those players that didn’t buy it.
I think they’re going to, seeing as they directly address Spartan Ops with the designation Season 1 sometimes.
It’d be simpler to say Spartan Ops instead, but Season One is definitely hinting at more Spartan Ops.
i’m not buying
I hope so. Though to be fair, i’m more interested in the cinematics than anything.
With all those cutscenes and sheer amount of voice acting it, it had to be budgeted into the cost of making the actual game. It is just a matter of will they release what they have for a second and the final third season.

Halo 2 lead into Halo 3 from Halo CE, is it unfair to make people pay for Halo 2?
> the first episode of season 2 will contain new maps, then the second episode will contain recycled environments. that’s how they get you
