Parangosky was one interesting character, being the former Commander and Chief of ONI. As of Spartan Ops, Serin Osman has become the head of ONI. I wonder, do you think Parangosky is dead? As of 2558, she would be 97, and 500 years in the future, you’d think we’d have advanced alot medically and for us being able to live longer. Do you think that either Parangosky died and before she croaked, she said that Osman should become the director, or did Parangosky die and Osman was able to become head of ONI?
Osman killed, and took power from, her by force. That seems more like Osman’s style. JK, I honestly don’t know.
Perhaps Parangosky has entered cryo-sleep and is waiting for some opportune moment to return? What if Parangosky is the leader of a rebel human faction while Osman works as her “inside man”?
I hope she’s dead and buried forever- though the only way to take down Parangosky for good probably involves a crucifix, sunlight and a stake through her heart.
Maybe she’s chillin with Preston Cole on a small colony somewhere. Wouldn’t surprise me.

Given how much control ONI has under, that’d be an incredibly silly idea.
Personally, I enjoy some fan theories that she is to become the A.I Maggie, whom keeps all of her memories and personality traits.
I’m pretty sure there’s an ONI directive somewhere about cryo-freezing important people until Forerunner tech can be used to make them immortal. JK. I think she is alive, retired, but still watching. Always watching. I’m positive if she ever felt a need to take action again she could totally pull something crazy. But, if we’re talking IRL, I think the writers at 343 have decided to retire her character. She’s interesting yes but with little room for development beyond maybe a couple of easter eggs/references. So, probably not dead but gone forever.
I bet she is in cry sleep, waiting to come back and put her icy hands on the neck of Halsey. That would be sweet to have them duke it out like Spoc and Captain Kurt did with those space axes.

CRY sleep ^^
Well located in the Limited Edition of Halo 4.
Sometime in 2558(presumably February seeing as that when Thorne got ahold of it) Halsey got a letter from her.
This confirms her survival in 2558 at least.

That letter reeks of deathbed confession.

She was the leader for ONI for awhile, and I can’t really think of many moments where Naval Intelligence did something that gave the Insurrectionists (rebels) any kind of advantage. This would make for an interesting plot-twist, but I don’t believe that this is the case.

Like Walt Disney.

Would be a shame to kill her off that way though. Though a Letter though Halo 4’s limited edition.
