I think in Halo Infinite, something really bad might happen and some old spartans from Halo Reach etc, will be called back into action for extra help. Do you think any spartans will return?
Jun is busy tending the next crop of Spartan IV’s.
All the rest of Noble is dead…
But there are other Spartan II’s and III’s still out there that haven’t been in any games.

Thanks for catching me up on the lore!
I dont think that old SPARTANs appearing in games (or infinite in this case) would be impossibility. The blue team made an appearance so as long as the SPARTANs in question are still working as SPARTANs and combat capable i dont see much obstacles to that, other than fear of possibly ruining a known character but that either is not an obstacle in some cases.
Though I have doubts about Jun given the mentioned reason above. Its not impossible though, and we could see him as other than a SPARTAN in armor.

Hasn’t he recruited Buck for the Spartan program a while back? In New blood, if I’m not mistaking

Jun did offer him a chance, twice, where Buck accepted the second time offered.
But maybe we could see him appear in games too. Though im not sure if i want that given the changes made to old characters in new games.
I would love for Jun to return. As well as Buck, and blue team, but they need to make Blue Team way more badass. They’re the most badass team of all time and looked so boring in H5. Rest of Osiris, Majestic, Palmer etc can all go pound glass.
I think osiris and blue team have a good chance returning. jun though is probably still injured unless he’s recovered from vacuum exposure by now. I haven’t read bad blood yet and don’t read the comics so I’m not fully aware of jun’s health status. if he is healed though, I don’t think he’ll appear in combat.
If they can…
Bust Mickey out of prison because ONI needs people, then I’m sure the UNSC can reinstate Jun into a direct combat role like Palmer. So I don’t see why not.

That is correct

Nice knowledge of lore
It’s a possibility that Red Team could make an appearance. I personally hope that happens, I wanna see the interactions between Red Team & Chief.
If this focus on the chief, 343i might just not bring anyone back and just push the halo story forward by introducing another villain or a returning one. Since I think the entire game is going to be taking place on the halo array, a returning villain (diact or Cortana or the covenant) would return and in a twist have a flood breakout and convert everyone into the flood. now, that’s a game I would play!
