I have this gut feeling that Jun is making some sort of appearance in Halo 4. After all, it only makes sense. Remember in the books, how 1 spartan from Reach escorted Halsey away from the soon-to-be dead planet, and since she goes missing it’s rumored that she is at Requeim?
I’m almost certain that Spartan is Jun. It’s pretty obvious that Halsey is going to be at Requeim in some shape or form…so it only makes sense that the spartan that escorted her is with her on the planet as well.
If Jun survived reach it makes sense we might see him since he was probably incorporated into the SPARTAN IV program like the rest of the surviving SPARTAN IIIs

Also, how do any of you know that Jun is dead? I played the campaign several times and jun didn’t die in any secret hidden cutscene. are you just assuming that because the planet blew up, he probably died?
I’m content with the idea that Jun died on reach, Plus 343i did say that they had no plans to bring back Jun anyway(so most likely he is dead with the rest of noble team).

Sorry mate, he died defending Dr. Halsey on Reach, they said no Spartans survived so that means NO SPARTANS SURVIVED. Disappointing, yes but one has to remember that there was no communication made to Reach after 2552 and this is the year 2557, five years have passed and no-one can survive the fire and destruction that the Covenant had pressed into the rocky planet. There are hopes for Jorge, though.

Tom Muir survived the destruction of New Llanelli and lived on the glassed planet for 7 years. He was just a civilian.
According to First Strike, Dr. Halsey said that those who were left in CASTLE Base were evacuated. It’s always possible Jun simply left with the evacuees because his last orders were to escort her to CASTLE Base which he accomplished. Even if he protested leaving she would have been able to convince him to leave. Or someone else was there who could have ordered him to go. There are many possibilities but the fact that 343i said that his fate is a mystery, leads me to believe they may someday explain his whereabouts. If he was dead they could just say so and stop being cryptic.
We know the Spartan-IIIs are able to join the Spartan-IV project. Maybe he’s a Spartan-IV and they’re don’t want us knowing until we find out for ourselves with some Halo 4 cameo?

BECAUSE THE BOOKS… when Halsey actually leaves reach… JUN IS NOWHERE IN SIGHT. also… Reach’s story completely broke the games canon

No…The game IS canon…No matter how much you don’t want it to be canon, it’s still going to be canon. Games like this usually over rule the books…or at least that was what I was always told. Besides, the game and the book happen from Noble and Blue Team’s perspective, respectively.
Furthermore, the entries from 24 July 2552, 26 July 2552, 3 August 2552, 27 August 2552, and everything after the 30 August 2552 entryfrom Halsey’s Journal validates the existence of Noble Team.
