I don’t know how credible this news source is, but according to the article it states that instead of doing what already was done, they’re going to take it in a bold new direction that will attract new players.
For some reason, if this is true, I feel like it’s going to be not what we’re expecting.
> . Even though, the teaser got launched, developers in Bungie say that that they were forced to show it off but the actual game is far from being ready.
I just noticed that typo. Either way if all it is, is a typo, then I hope they don’t try to make it so it appeals to new gamers. All I can imagine is Halo with EXP, Unlocks, and ADS. That would definitely be a nightmare.
It’s not a bad thing for attracting new fans and doesn’t mean they are abandoning the old ones, that’s just crazy doomsday talk.
There are two types of ways for getting new fans:
Theres showing off your product through effective marketing and giving the reasons to why they should buy it.
Then theres the EA tactic which is “Appealing to a wider audience” which basically means they want more of the same audience and will dumb the game down so more casual people will play it. 343i did do this with halo 4 but with the backslash they received I’m pretty sure they won’t do it again.

Especially with what Frankie said with them making mistakes and all. I certainly hope so because Halo 4 wasn’t marketed too well nor was it executed well. I’m honestly your first option is what is going down rather than making a Halo 4 remake.
Nothing about that website seems legit. I mean for -Yoinks!- sake, it even has those “Download this” ads plastered all over it. I’m pretty sure that website went up just this year as well.
Anyways I don’t believe we can tell what Halo 5 is going to be at this point. 343I wouldn’t be stupid enough to make a classic title just because a handful of people on the forums ask for it, nor would they be stupid enough to make a copy of Halo 4 when it was obviously disliked overall.
343i is definitely on a mission to step up their “game”, seeing as how there has been quite a shakeup with staff and more people are being recruited. I don’t think this means Halo 5 will be radically different. The marketing for H5 might be, though.
I’m thinking we might be in for some spinoffs, and there might be some news about the video series.
There’s nothing wrong with evolving a series. That’s what I wanted with 4. The problem was it played more like a CoD clone mixed in the Halo-verse than a real evolution of the series. I want Halo to redefine how shooters should be played and so far, I feel Titanfall has done a much better job at mixing in new elements than the last few Call of Duties, BF4 or Halo 4.
I wouldn’t believe a word of that article and I don’t think we should start forming conjecture and hypothesis of “What If” scenarios that are months if not years away.
It’s not healthy to dwell on something that isn’t even real.
