Okay most threads like these start with some guy who’s butt hurt and complaining but instead of that bullsh*t, I will just ask you to tell me one thing that HALO 4 features that you absolutely love and think was a great idea on 343i’s part.Just one thats all plz exsplain why.
Man I -Yoinking!- hate this game so…wait something good about Halo 4…um…um…uhhhh…hey look over there, Master Chief took his helmet off! (I run away)
For real though it is hard for me to think of something that 343 created and implemented into Halo 4 that I like. I guess I like the sound of the rocket launcher. Wow it’s sad that the best thing I can think of is the sound of the rocket launcher.
Halo 4 doesn’t suck, but it’s the worst in the series.
They threw map design and strategy out of the window, gave everyone a “gold star sticker no losers” ordnance system, and completely removed balance by making direct upgrades like the DMR into spawn weapons instead of just being on the map. Not to mention the vehicles.
However, loadouts aren’t entirely a bad concept, the Assault Rifle is finally useful, Flood has undergone some good tweaks (and some bad), Hitmarkers are a nice if unnecessary addition, and they added new and original power weapons.

It came so quickly it should’ve just been shipped with the game, but I have nothing against the quality of the maps.
New weapons are fun.
They absolutely do not. DMR, Plasma Grenades, Boltshot/Plasma Pistol, and Camo are all you need. Horribly balanced.

Not really, the main game was finished and then they start work on map packs to release after release date. If you think like that, then you’d have to say BL2 should have included their first 2 DLCS with the original game with how fast they came. (Not tryin’ to have a b(itch fit at you here, sorry if it comes off that way)
I personally, have no issues with any of those guns/nades and find them all to be well balanced.
Active Camo though, should probably be a power-up
I think they are SUCH a breath of fresh air as far as enemies in Campaign and Spartan Ops go. Finally we have an enemy that’s not the Covenant or the Flood!
> Not at all, I love this game. I have some minor gripes with it every now and then, but nothing major enough diminish my enjoyment.
This exactly… just stop whining. It’s getting annoying. Halo 4 is great, patch some bugs and stop missing Halo 3 and it will be a wonderful experience. Or alteratively just have fun not getting listened to on the forums.

Prometheans.
The graphics.
Cinematics.
The Binary Rifle is amazing! It is probably one of my favourite new features…
All round though, this game is lacking. To the point I haven’t even played it in nearly two weeks.
I am enjoying the game quite a bit. Sure JIP can be a little janky at times, but it’s better than it used to be. It also saves me from playing a 4v1 SWAT game. I don’t know why the game allows 4v1 to happen ANYWAY, but JIP fixes that issue.
As far as the maps go, they might have actually started work on them before the game shipped…since Certain Affinity is the one making them. Once the maps on the disc were done, a couple guys splintered off to 343 to help with play testing, fixes and other such minutiae while the rest of the team was hard at work on the map pack.
I’m definitely getting tired of everyone thinking that the “GAME IS BROKEN AND TERRIBLE” because 343 didn’t do exactly what they wanted. They changed some things, and some of those things aren’t going to leave. I know everyone hates to hear it but…adapt.
I like it, it could use some tweaking but most games do. I love the increased pace. Halo 3 was to slow IMO and on bigger maps it took forever to get anywhere. The addition of sprint allowed for a more realistic and hardcore game. But it also was able to accommodate for any player which I am all for. The more the merrier
I love this game… but today I got so frustrated that I threw my controller(first time this has evar happened). Sometimes entire teams of 8 people dmr/boltshot active camo camping gets to you.
What you say about the loadouts is not true. I use quite a variety of loadout set ups. I use the DMR long-mid range, using the assault rifle if anyone gets in close. Some frags coz their way better than stickies. Sure you can try and get that instant kill and you miss you kind of out of luck. And to top this loadout off, regeneration field. No shields, get behind cover, use it and then get straight back in the battle.
My second loadout is for close range for maps like adrift, haven and abandon. Carbine, best at close range in my opinon. Plasma pistol for shield take down, thruster pack for those strafes and evades. And once again frags.
My other 3 loadouts I have set for certain kinds of situations. Dont care too much for the bolt shot. I think its a waste of time, doesn’t help you get better at the game and if you miss your just screwed. Camo is only good from long range.
And can everyone please, stop hiding round corners, preparing your bolt shot, throwing both your stickies and then running in for the double melee. Seriously, I can here you charge the thing, I will move and you will be killed. Cant wait until the phase of exploiting simple tactics in the latest Halo game is over.
