Do you think Cortana should die in Halo 4?

I know how Cortana is a very iconic figure, and very attached to the Master Chief. I think she is a very awesome character. However, apparently she goes all rampant in Halo 4 because she’s living beyond her normal lifespan and overload on information and stuff. Anyways, do you think Cortana should die in Halo 4?

Other questions up for discussion:
-If she dies, should Cortana be replaced?
-Should Cortana be separated from Master Chief?
-Should Cortana recieve some kind of upgrade on the Forerunner planet that will allow her to last longer?

She should die with Chief at the end of Halo 6.

Darn, I can’t see poll results. Should I repost or is there a way to edit? Hate it when this happens.

Depends if she’s as annoying as she was in Halo 3.

“I can see you’re in the middle of a fight, so I think I’ll pop up in your visor and cover your vision with a bunch of blue lines.”

Cortana has a weird way of showing affection.

I’ve made peace with he fact that Chief and Cortona might not make it out of this…it would be the EPIC ending Halo would need… :frowning:

I feel like they should save that sort of madness for anothe time. But then again I’m not the writer so I have no idea.

Exactly. Cortana and the MC aren’t truly two separate characters. Without Cortana, chief would lose everything that makes him human. Also, MC and Cortana’s relationship is so unique, something that I haven’t seen ever before tbh, and Halo should cherish what makes it unique. If one should die it must be side by side with the other, or not at all.

No, Halo 4 is too early for that.

^^This. You don’t just kill off characters that are so intertwined, either one dies and the other follows shortly after or they both die together. Rampancy only gives another story point where they might try and find out a way to stop it.
