Microsoft and Blur have partnered up multiple times, with Halo Wars, Halo 2 Anniversary, and Halo Wars 2 cutscenes being done by them and looking stunning. However, Microsoft and 343 have now developed the Slipspace engine for all future Halo games. We know that 343 will be doing the cutscenes in-engine for Infinite, and what we’ve seen so far of them looks awesome. What do you think will happen with Blur for future games? I don’t think they’re gonna do the cutscenes for any of the new releases, that’s all gonna be in-engine. However, I do think they’ll be around for Anniversary editions (yeah, I think we’re definitely gonna get more Anniversary games) and no-FPS spin-offs. What’d you think?
While I know H3 Anniversary has been talked to death, I’m still holding out hope that we get one in a few years. The big argument against H3A is the fact that the graphics still hold up after all these years. And while that’s true, the difference between H2 and H2A is staggering, and I think Blur could work some serious magic with H3 to make it one heck of an incredible game with Blur cutscenes.
After all, there were plenty of folks who said Reach would never be added to MCC, and that obviously was proven false. So it’s not out of the question that Blur could come back and work their magic on H3.
I still think anniversary games are not the best way to expand the franchise going forward, but once 343 is done bringing MCC to PC, there might be enough resources available to devote to making an H3A in a few years. Time will tell.

True, though it won’t hold up well in a few years, especially with the move to Scarlett. Yeah, do think we’ll get it in a few years for sure.
Do wonder what a potential Halo 4 Anniversary could look like.
Took the words right out of my mouth. Spin offs and remakes, main series will be in-engine (which I personally like more).
I enjoy the Blur cutscenes, but I’m also anxious to see what the new in-game engine cutscenes will look like with the improved tech.
Main games can use the in-game engines, but I’d love to see Blur stick around for side games like Wars or anything else planned in the future.
