Do you think a Halo game will come in 2017?

They have released a game every year from 2009-2015. Do any of you think there will be a game coming in 2017, if so, what kind?
Edit: I forgot Halo Wars 2 is coming out in 2017, I was thinking of an fps version.

Halo Wars 2 releases in February 2017 if I remember correctly.

Aside from Halo wars 2, I doubt it. It would likely have been announced by now otherwise.

No matter what year the next major Halo game comes out, it’s certainly a much favorable position than Valve Time.

I hope not. Halo isn’t a series that can have a rushed dev cycle. If 343 needs time to make the game good and complete at launch, I will happily give it to them.

I think we will see Halo 6 revealed in 2017, not sure if it will release in 2017 though.

I totally agree with you about the development cycle/time but it’s funny 343 started to make Halo 5 sooner than Halo 4 (which came out 2012) and…well…Halo 5 kinda failed in some ways and many of us not satisfied after we found out what we’ve got. (IMO)

Hopefully Halo 3 Anniversary. I need a good Halo game built for the Xbox One. MCC is so buggy that no one hardly plays and Halo 5…well…lets just say if I didn’t have the digital version I would’ve snapped the disc into pieces.

Firstly, Halo Wars 2 will release next year. Secondly, I predict Halo 3 anniversary will release next year due to the 10th anniversary of Halo 3. Lastly, I believe we will see an announcement of Halo 6.

343 should focus all men/women on Halo 6, not a beautiful glass of Halo 3

2013 - Spartan Assault (Vanguard Games)
2014 - MCC (Saber Interactive, Certain Affinity, Ruffian Games, United Front Games)
2015 - H5 (343), Spartan Strike (Vanguard Games)
2016 -
2017 - HW2 (Creative Assembly)
2018 - Probably H6 (343)

Actually CEA was not announced until the year of release so an anniversary game in 2017 is possible.

All the previous anniversaries were outsourced. 343i is a huge development team made of over 300 staff (iirc), so this shouldnt be a problem.

“messed up halo 4 and 5” is subjective. They weren’t failures by any means and on a technical level they weren’t exactly flawed (minus European servers in H5 and lack of split-screen). The issue was how the stories and aesthetic choices were handled for 343i’s vision, something that throwing all hands on deck for would never change since these decisions are made by the higher ups and everyone else is just doing their job to create that vision.

That has exactly what to do with development? Okay, for starters, Xbox One. The Xbox One is still suffering the side effects of it’s terrible first impression (thanks Don Mattrick!) so that means the system is already falling short of the PS4 and only recently found it’s stride. Secondly, Halo 5 was already going to suffer a heavy hit from fan loyality due to how bad MCC turned out (this game was a development failure. 343i bit off more than they could chew when they outsourced the game to 5+ studios and tried to stitch it altogether.)

Thirdly, the gameplay is faster than 3 because in 3 you moved like a slug on big maps like Valhalla. 2 was already incredibly fast and CE still has the fasted TTK of any Halos (possibly barring Halo 5) while Reach currently stands as the slowest.

How about abillities? Or TTK? BOth sucks hard in Halo 5 ^^ Halo Reach is the best Halo in movements - changes aren`t good every time - 343 should notice that
