BEFORE A SINGLE ONE OF YOU GO “Thats a COD THING”
Would it really be a bad thing?
It would allow us to level up more
Give us more reason to play after leveling up
Maybe it would allow us to add more weapons
Like Maybe after you Prestige you can get an SMG for a secondary or a SPiker
Its a thought I know many will hate.
Sorry if this offends you
Prestige like CoD or re-up like in Gears doesn’t add the replay value that would make Halo 4 more interesting. Most would feel (like myself) that prestige would just be a hassle and would be of no benefit, just more “play=experience” which gets boring fast.
The CSR will be more interesting to most players but it depends on how 343i implements it.
Well I mean theres plenty of things that they could do, its just that Im not sure exactly what they would do which would please the whole community which is almost impossible.
Options include:
-increase rank cap
-prestige
-add in game ranking (h2,h3 esque)
-add armor for the ranks (which they should be able to do)
-add more commendations (for weapons and special moves, vehicles, ect. but its already pretty extensive)
-More gametypes heavily rank based
and theres many more I’m sure people could think of, I’m not saying that I truly believe all the things I posted would work but they are just some examples I came up with.
Yah I think prestige would be a bad idea. People don’t want this game to turn into some Call of Duty copy. They already made some drastic changes, they shouldn’t do anymore. They should do a CSR or add more specializations. I did hear that they would implement a csr system in April.

CSR is going to be as awesomely popular as Team Throwdown’s current population…or at best…Team Throwdown’s population at launch before its rapid and admissible decline to its current almost bottom placing consistently on the play list.

Well Halo 4 as a whole sure seems to be doing well…
Implementing CSR isn’t going to harm anything if it’s implemented properly. It will help retain current players and might bring in a few more.
Not even going to get into the Throwdown argument, too many factors.
I will say this again, I think halo and CoD are both good games, but what makes halo halo and what makes CoD CoD, should be kept separate, not blended into one game. Besides, I don’t really like the idea that much…

I will concede that anything that will at the very least maintain player numbers rather than losing more is a good thing, CSR included.It’s just not my thing but have no problem with it being implemented to keep others happy and having their fun. Let us hope that 343i has everything in place, at game launch,for Halo 5 rather than the patch work fest that Halo 4 has become.
I even said it in another forum thread that even an XP per play list very simple
win = 1 XP
loose = no Xp
ranks based on XP I.E. 500 XP = 2 star general similar to halo 3.
once again not saying that H3 was the greatest game ever but it was somewhat rewarding and felt like you were moving forward in the game and not at a stalemate when you hit the 130 progression rank.
We need something more. I mean really 343 accomplished the player investment system with your different specializations and making your player more valuable on the playing field but there is nothing after that and playing is just rather stale.
if there will be no ranking system at least give us play list ranks
> I think it would not be what this game needs for replay value, and it furthers Halo’s plunge into the filth that is CoD.

> For continued replay value all we really need is an in-game ranking system
I’m confused by attacking something that has nothing to do with how CoD is not enjoyable (it’s all about those kill streaks and perks that ruin the competitive nature of that game)(Which Halo 4 came pretty close to with ordinance drops and the tactical and support packages, but I happen to be okay with the arrangement of the tactical/support packages as they are IMO pretty well balanced).
I think a ranking system would be cool, but I think being able to loop your progressive rank would be sweet too. I don’t think weapons need to be unlocked in the process. It just needs some indicator to show how many times a player has done it already.
> What 343 should do is go back to the Halo 3 ranking system of 1-50. The current ranking system is a joke, it’s way too easy to hit max rank.
Not trying to be rude but I cant even believe you consider the 1-130 a ranking system. Its a player investment system the rank means you’ve attained all spartan upgrades and means nothing in terms of skill or playlist rank.
