Do you still play? If so how much?

For a while, this was the only game I would play. I like the gameplay, there just isn’t enough content right now.

Most of my friends wouldn’t touch the game, once they stopped playing I carried on for a bit but now I don’t touch it.

Need new gameplay content to come back, hopefully content that isn’t limited to single player so I can play with friends.

Once in a while to diversify what I play, I really only bother hopping on for BTB once in a while.

What’s mainly deterring me from hopping on, that I’m consciously aware of, are the maps. There’s an okay number of maps, but many of them feel like they lack much diversity or depth, such as lack of places for map control or interactive environment.

By Map control, I want to use Live Fire as an example. The sightline for the tower in Live fire is far too small to incentive players to control the area. In contrast, the sniper tower on Guardian, in H3, has huge sightlines incentivizing players to move to the tower yet still having drawbacks to balance out that area.

Meanwhile for map diversity, many of 4V4 and BTB maps fall under 3 lane maps which aren’t inherently bad, they’re just more susceptible to getting repetitive. Not to discredit 343 though, some of their maps and installments are good, Behemoth is huge and open, Fragmentation is filled with interactive material ranging from loot caves, fusion coils, man cannons, Streets has a good emphasis with power struggle in the middle of the map, and etc.

Quit after about the first week of launch(or the “beta”). Haven’t touched it since and don’t plan to unless some serious changes are made to the monetization.

Not really. I still keep up with the pro scrims but it never makes me want to actually play.

I put an obscene amount of time into H5 so it isn’t like I was a 343 naysayer going into Infinite, but I’m afraid I’ve turned into one and I don’t have much hope left.

:frowning:

I play with my GF at least a few hours a week. I finished the battlepass and event stuff so I’m just in it for the weekly stuff if I like them. I finished this event quick and since it is LSS I haven’t played much at all.

I jumped back into Halo Infinite when the Alpha Pack event was online. I completed that event in two and a half hours. I haven’t played a single multiplayer match since then. I’ve mainly bum-rushed the campaign just so that I can get my tank cannon gun back. I’m just not motivated enough to play the game. The weekly rewards just aren’t worth it IMO.

At this point as far as Halo goes, I’m just waiting for campaign replay to be in the game so that I can tie up some loose ends. As far as MCC goes, I’m also just waiting for Steam workshop to finally be a part of the collection.

I’ve been playing at least as much as it takes to finish my challenges each week and a little more depending on the challenges that week.

Not going to lie - the thing I’m looking forward to most with coop/replay is new achievements.

Just custom game 98% of the time. Multiplayer only when a friends calls me to join them.

Peace! :fist_right: :fist_left:

It’s been 6+ months.

Until they add manual server Selection and honour it, I will never play this game again.

80% of my matches were being hosted by some server in Europe (Amsterdam I’m told) with 250+ ms ping times. I’m in Western Canada and Halo 5 / MCC show my closest low ping (< 30 ms) server is Seattle.

4-5 hours a day, sometimes more, sometimes less, and usually from around the Tuesday reset to maybe Saterday, depending on how long it takes me to get the weekly done/if my friends are on and need help being carried through THEIR challenges.

Oddly enough as time has gone on the overall ease of the game has GONE UP for me, which has lead to me wanting to play more. I dont know if thats because “vets” are leaving and new people are coming into the meat grinder to replace them, or if Im actually getting better.

Nope i tried coming back to it to see if anything improved at all and the sbmm put me into sweatfest matches filled with high ping and dysync after a few admittedly fun matches where it was close but not sweat fest close where i could make a few mistakes have fun and our team could still win by 5 points and vice versa ie lose while still having fun

Like as soon as i started having fun it threw me into matches where i was going up against teams that did nothing but stomp me and my team meanwhile i could do nothing due to the high ping and dysync

Edit to include a screencap of one of the lag filled sweatfest i would’ve recorded video but apparently theres a cap on how much you can record stuff and no matter how many vids i clear it it says the storage is full

sometimes i play one or two rounds of infinite, but if i want to play halo, i usually start up the MCC. i prefer playing a game instead of having occupational therapy inside a store (infinite)
and in my opinion

Spent Several more hours today unlocking the rest of the unlocks that I could get ( still need FoB Rocket Warthogs, but those should be soon ), including two of the three missing skulls I needed. Game stats I’m already around 90%+ completed in the game, even further then that of which I was in my Heroic file, which has beaten the game…

I still hate just about every boss in the game. Being just an enemy with insane damage sponge that kills you in 3-10 hits, but it takes you close to 9000 shots to bring down their shields, which recharge… Can’t wait till I get to that stupid fight at the end that took me forever on Heroic…

Hell, I wonder if I join a fresh player, will I be fully unlocked when they’re just starting off… Can buy Wasps and leave the island immediately lol.

Hardly ever now but I did have an hour with a mate this week, first one in ages.

My biggest issue is the removal of the Free for All Slayer playlist. I don’t want to play Rumble Pit and be forced to play game types I don’t enjoy.

Whenever I get on, I wonder why I’m playing this instead of something fun. So no. Maybe I’ll come back when there’s a pve mode and a better progression system.

Just played 1-2h/evening when the season was fresh to complete the (free) Battle Pass.

It’s totally ok for everyone to put this game aside after that and play something else.

One day arround reset if the weekly reward is good.
Because the game isn’t. (Yet)
