At the beginning of a warzone match does any body else shout, “Touch down, hit it marines!”?

People who’ll have played halo 1 will know the reference.

Ok, just me then.

I don’t say it personally but after the first few times it did remind me of that moment.

Would be a great easter egg if that was shouted on the Warzone level “Raid on Apex 7”

Hmm interesting, Halo 1 or do you mean Halo Combat Evolved.

I was really hoping the entry to Raid on Apex 7 would’ve had more references to The Silent Cartographer. Cutscene opening to the pelicans and then snapping straight to the player looking out the pelican. Also it would’ve been cool if the marines jumped out of the pelicans also, so Foehammer’s line would’ve actually made sense. We also need the CE Magnum. Its just not the same wit the H5 magnum

It’s a reference to the pilot ‘Foehammer’ from Halo CE’s level “The Silent Cartographer”

I don’t have a mic, but I could just yell it alone while playing Halo 5 and wonder if anyone else heard it and got the reference. I can yell decently loud.

Obviously he was new to Halo. Did you happen to get his stats for the game?
