I used to rage in H3 and Halo:Reach when our team was getting overwhelmingly beaten and spawn camped by a pre-made, or when I had managed to pick up awesome weapons and made a critical error that lead to me dying and losing my advantage.
This was usually followed by teabagging, which made me rage even more. Now, I mostly rage when I’m going for a kill streak or multikill and the person I come up against happens to have an Incineration Cannon that fell from the skies into their lap.
I only really rage when I jump in a vehicle and one of my team throughs a hissy fit as well as a couple of plasmas at me and leaves me in a fiery walking death trap.
I got so mad, I sent a very angry message, which was responded by “Chill bro, it’s just a game”. Which I can’t really argue with so I get even madder lol

Lol, what I hate the most about those situations is that if you’re in BTB, for example, you can’t respawn and follow him around and betray him back for the rest of the game. I guess you can find another vehicle and try to splatter him, but betrayal retribution is necessary, imho.
I suppose I should also ask what raging entails for you
Personally, I tend to scream, “Noooooo! -Yoink- youuuuuu!” and nearly break my controller in half while contemplating throwing it through my tv screen.

Na this game is way more casual than previous halos to rage in its just fun to play like call of duty. I only rage when things are competitive but this game doesn’t really have that :o
Everygame. However i don’t desire to rage often, seems it does get the best of me sometimes.
But i dont yell @ my teammates L#L. ill just unplug my mic instead.
I really don’t rage at all. I find Halo 4 to be a great game and if I do get killed by an enemy I usually end up thinking “Well that was a fair kill”. I think people rage to hard and complain to much calling the game bs instead of realizing the other team got a legitimate kill on you.
I rage when I make a particularly stupid error that leads to my own death or a problematic consequence. Vary rarely do I rage when someone has beaten me due to their good play rather than my bad.
For example, if I am five-shot with a BR and I only land four of my five taken shots with the DMR, I shrug it off. Guy had a better shot than me on that occasion. I’ll rise to the challenge.
If, however, I am being shot, and I round a corner to get into cover, but get caught on a piece of map geometry like a special case and stand there eating my lead sandwich, I rage.
If the game is working right I don’t rage, even if we are losing.
When it starts to glitch out though… oh… my… GOD! Cue Hulk effects.
Seriously though, it is every time I go into a game and find my loadouts have reverted back to default. It is every time the host changes and the loadout selections go wonky and chooses the first in my list of loadouts. It’s when I come across one person on the enemy team who has such a bad connection that they are teleporting all over the place and is impossible to shoot.
THAT’S when I rage.
Oh… and when the dumb sticky reticule keeps dragging my aim off who I am trying to shoot and have just dropped their shields but the silly aim assist decides to waste my rounds on someone with full shields. Thank you for that 343. Your decision to make sticky reticle obligatory is another silly decision. That makes me rage so bad I tend to break controllers.
I… JUST… WANT… TO… AIM… AT… THE… PERSON… I… AM… FRACKIN… SHOOTING! Not some random dude who runs across my sight line.
Here’s an example of what would make me rage. Let me state right up front that I can be a really awful player, even though I want to be a good player.
Let’s say that I pick up rockets, and see three members of the opposing team standing in close proximity to one another with their backs to me. “Sweet,” I think. “Easy triple kill. Maybe an over if I can find the other member of their team.” Then, out of nowhere, the other member of their team snipes me.
Tiny rage.
I respawn and sprint back, hoping to be able to pick up my rockets before someone else does. I meet the three members of the opposing team closing in on the rockets and get gunned down by ARs.
Rage building.
I respawn and sprint back, lobbing grenades at the area where the other team and rockets are. One of them picks up the rockets and hits me with one right as I get there.
Massive rage.
I’ve just gone -3 in the past 30 seconds instead of +3.
> No offense to anyone directly but people that rage in video games need to stop playing and take a break, not healthy for you to act this way
The above is generally true. I do not “rage”. I am female so maybe that’s why. I do get annoyed and think less of a player if they are camoflauged all the time or, as I play a lot of Dominion, if they are “hiding and crouching” in a base…“squaters”. I don’t particularly like that kind of gameplay, I find it sneaky and unfair but to each their own. I don’t think it’s cool to seek “revenge” on a betrayal either. I’ve betrayed on accident (and I always say “sorry!” to my TV.) and I tend to think when I get betrayed it is the same situation. Bottom line, it’s just a game. If a player seems out of control I go in to their gamer profile and “avoid this player”. Simple. Frankly if you’re prone to “raging” you need to go outside and take a walk or see a shrink, especially if you also like to kick puppies. Jus’ sayin’.
