Based on what I read it’s an Episodic Campaign with your Multiplayer Spartan each week you get a new mission,and this will continue for months to come,and It’s not a DLC thing it’s all part of when you buy Halo 4.Now I think that’s one good thing from the article.

Spartan Ops… Spec Ops… Spec Ops = COWADOODY! 343 iz turning teh Haloz into COWADOODY!
It’s not like a DLC mission where you can just go back to it,It’s for people who are reallyy into the story, each week a different mission to keep me coming back and frankly I love this

How is it too much? Plenty of TV series manage to put shows out every week. Also, since when was there such a thing as ‘too much’ free content?
Also, the community will not be making the missions, which is a good thing as they would be awful. 343i are the game designers. I’ve no doubt they’ve already got the overarching plot threads sketched out.
From what i read on the game informer leaked scans, it would appear as if it’s a series of missions, a cinematic story and 5 missions EACH WEEK (holy crap if that’s true), and it’s absolutely free. This will continue for several months after the game’s release and be comparable in scope to the campaign
That said, Firefight, you will be missed.
Edit: can someone confirm if it really is 5 missions a week? I saw the scans on a site and can’t find it anymore.
Looks cool, but the name is REALLY stupid. They should change it.
Apart of that, I personally think that it’s gonna be good.

it takes more time to Program a level, than to record a show…IMO
my thoughts…they have a separate “branch” in 343 that will take care of making new maps/other stuff for H4
…

I think it sounds insanely awesome - I honestly think people wouldn’t have reacted nearly as badly, as childish as it was, if it was called “Infinity Missions” or something.
The idea can be awesome but at least change the name?

As for #1, I’m not so sure. Given that nothing like this has been done before, we can’t compare the two, but I’d imagine 343i wouldn’t announce it if they were’t sure they could do it. If they have the plots, art assets and engine coding all pre-done, it can’t be too difficult to set the level up.
Spartan Ops is a really great idea and a good replacement to Firefight (no-one ever really played it anyway)
All that needs to happen is a name change. How about Operation: INFINITY?
Although most people say Spartan Ops will cause Halo 4 to become Modern Warfare 4, I disagree. It will be much better than Spec Ops especially because there’s a new mission each week. I think it’s really exciting! But I do agree they could’ve had a much more original name. However, I wish they didn’t take out Firefight because I love Firefight.
Spartan Ops sounds like a pretty solid gig.

I love this idea will give me and my 3 friends to do together i like this better then FF. I also like the join session and the point system as well maybe rename the points to CR again or something. I like what there doing i just need Forerunner xray explained a little and i will be fine already pre-orderd. Cant wait.

Gotta even out the stuff man,don’t wanna make it too perfect lol.Why don’t we as a community find a better name instead of spartan ops,why not something with fiction like infinity something something idk…
