It’s been so long since the beta I can’t remember if you have to lead your shots or not. Does anyone else remember?
No, it’s been shown in E3 that you don’t have to lead your shots.
That’s a negatori. That won’t have changed from the beta.
Depends on what weapons you have. Hitscan weapons ( where the muzzle velocity is 792 m/s) are nearly instantaneously hit. Most covenant weapons, some Promethean and Human weapons are travel time. This is what I have gathered from the Beta and the Warzone demo:
Hitscan weapons
-
Assault Rifle - Sub Machine Gun - Battle Rifle - DMR - Sniper Rifle - Magnum Pistol - Light Rifle - Carbine - Spartan Laser - SAW Light Machine Gun - Human Heavy Machine Gun Turret - Warthog and Mantis Chain Guns - ShotgunProjectile Weapons
-
Storm Rifle - Suppressor - Needler - Hydra - Plasma Pistol - Plasma Caster - Boltshot - Rocket Launcher - Incineration Cannon - Plasma Caster - RailgunThat is only the list of the the confirmed weapons by the way.

Hitscan weapons are literally an instantaneous hit. That is the whole concept behind hitscan.

You don’t have to lead your shots. And thank goodness too.
Yeah, it’s not a simulation. Aim and shoot!!!
hope so thatll make the game require even more skill then halo already does im pretty sure thats what you had to do in reach

Reach was hitscan. Pretty sure only H3 had projectile based ballistics.

“Perfect”.
>Armour Lock.
Never understood how the rail gun isn’t insta hit. I mean from an in universe perspective why would anyone bother making a rail gun, a weapon that requires massive amounts of energy to deliver a solid projectile, when it doesn’t even match the velocity of a conventional chemically propelled weapon?

It’s a balancing issue, man. If it were a hitscan weapon, it would effectively become a sniper rifle with a blast radius.

It tends to do the exact opposite of make the game require more skill.
As long as those ridiculous hitboxes have been fixed. In the Beta you could trail your reticle behind someone who’s strafing and every bullet would hit (you could literally see the bullets that missed explode in midair at the moment they would have passed by).

Apparently they reduced bullet magnetism after the beta, so that should have a similar if not identical effect to reducing the hitbox sizes.

Yeah, that alone made me stop playing the beta. I tried to fight through it but that bullet magnetism and poor hitboxes just ruined it for me. You couldn’t have a decent BR battle or any gunfight really because of how easy it was to hit someone… And lets not forget about those tiny tactical nukes (aka, frag grenades lol)
It would be nice of them to just have like a week long Warzone beta/demo. One map, one gametype, one week. Just so we can see how things have gotten better since the beta. That’s all I want lol.

I just want a warzone beta so I have something to dream about at night.
for some reason whenever I see lead shots I think of Gears of War, anyway Halo would be weird if you had to lead shots.

You had to lead your shots (even sniper rounds) in Halo 3 and it made things harder. Add on to the fact that the BR had no range to it as well. Still an extremely fun game though
