I’m just curious to how many people loved playing as an elite in multiplayer. I miss it, being able to play as an alien was great.
I understand that it may be excluded currently to a bigger focus on Spartans and forerunners, but it still sucks. Playable elites are on my wishlist for the next installment
I mean damn, Arbiter and the elites can join chief again and we can have an excuse to play as elites again. An alliance between species.

It might not have to interfere with gameplay. The only thing I can think about is the size difference getting in the way sometimes like in reach. Elites could still use the same weapons as Spartans in modes like breakout.
I think it’d be an interesting story. They now train together in simulations, there’s modes made where they can either be mixed or spartan only/elite only. Maybe the UNSC made improvements to their armor for the thrusters.

Not really.
It was fun to mess around with every now and then. I always found that people that played as an elite were either REALLY good or REALLY bad. There was never an “in-between” player. That’s just me though.

Oh well. Seeing as how this threads gonna get locked anyway I might as well tell a story. 3 days ago I played halo 3 ffa against the same guys 5 times, won 4 times. And got a perfection against them… and I’m an elite player.
No I don’t miss it at all but that’s just my opinion. Actually I might miss the death noise they make but that’s it aaaarrriiigh

Or there was also just ugh if you were playing a female elite in H3
Hell yeah I miss it… and people are still crying out for it, but the way the combat has shifted since halo 3, it’s unlikely we’ll ever play as our good old Split-lip companions again.

No cause I can play as one in the MCC effortlessly or simply relive the timeless Halo 2 campaign as the Artbiter.
Yes, the Elites are one of the most iconic, honorable and most awesome looking beings in the galaxy…but tbh playing as one gives you a huge disadvantage aposed to the spartan models. Playing as an elite makes you a giant target box.
If they would bring them back, I will be the last one to protest…but honestly they only work if it’s a full team of elites against a full team of elites.
