Do you lose Recon if you change your GT?

I know that when you change your Gamertag that your Halo service record disappears until you play a match in each of the games but does anyone know if you lose Recon (Halo 3) and Eternal (Halo Reach) if you change your gamertag?

You don’t lose them, no. I have changed my account GT half a dozen times since 2009 and I still have the Recon armour in Halo 3.

Thank you! Can confirm, kept Recon and Eternal and even more surprisingly, my Halo 2 service record (this vanished for me in the past so I’m happy it’s still here for now!)
