Do you listen to music while gaming, & what types?

I don’t always listen to music when I’m playing Halo—particularly not while I’m working through the campaigns—but sometimes I’ll put some on in the background during multiplayer matches. I really like EDM. It reminds me of when I used to go to festivals back in high school & college. :stuck_out_tongue:

What about y’all?

I normally listen to rock/heavy metal while playing or no music, depends on my mood

Gangster rap if I’m playing matchmaking. Gets me in a mood for sure!

When grinding reach and h5 I would definitely put on some tunes thru spotify and soundcloud.
Throw a couple names out:
Aphex twin, future sound of London, prodigy, eat static, sasha-digweed, underworld, etc with newer stuff mixed in.
Whole lots o music’s, lots of types, preferably mixed fast and slow paced, so I dont get all adrenalined out
Even some classical music can be fun.

Industrial rock, All types of metal, alternative rock and all kinds of other stuff. It really depends on my mood.

Mainly metalcore, a bunch of Miss May I, Dragged Under, and Beartooth as of late. But sometimes I’ll go to indie pop stuff like Powfu or Mothica when I don’t feel like having someone scream in my ear

Depends on mood entirely, sometimes Synthwave for nice vibe times, can’t go wrong with Heavy Metal or heck even DOOM music! As a big Devil May Cry fan the music also helps with adrenaline!

I don’t do it anymore, but when I used to play through the campaigns over and over I’d listen to mostly alternative rock/metal, grunge and punk rock.

Asthenic has a nice channel for thatI’ve hiked and grinded halo to some of this lol

Sometimes. I like to hear the shoots in the game, and for tactical reasons it’s better to have all the sounds to know where’s the enemy, but when it doesn’t matter, I like to hear metal, rock, soundtrack of any game, classical, a little of alternative and pop music.

Well not always but sometimes I to music while playing multiplayer. Genres like all types of Rock, sometimes some rap or even movie and games epic soundtracks.

Used to listen to the Halo soundtrack in multiplayer, don’t do it much anymore, I don’t know why…

I used to listen to Sabaton when I played but the music did not motivate me so much, now I listen between Kanye West and Kendrick Lamar, something more relaxed but without losing the frenzy

Sometimes from my spotify playlist. It’s just a mix of heavy and lighter rock.

heavy metal or rap

Yes. I have multiple playlists for this game specifically. I have one that is more relaxed and “vibe” oriented for social playlists. It has stuff like the halo 4 menu music and “Random Slip Space Trajectory” from CE along with Tron: Legacy music. It’s more EDM and just keeping me relaxed type stuff. I have another one though that’s for comp or tournaments that has more hip hop/rock stuff to pump me up and get me in that “TIME TO F THEM UP” mood. Mainly use it when I want to sweat.

I have a lot of music I listen to while I game not just for Halo but anything, I like putting on Halo Music from Halo 2 and Halo 3 and ODST, I also like putting on Lofi Hiphop from Chillhop, I also like to put on Star Wars music as that is still hype af, I also like putting on Imagine Dragons cause that’s also my favorite band but their music is very hype, so it all depends on the experience you want. Halo 2, Star Wars, Imagine Dragons for a hype, go get em vibe, and a Halo 3, Halo ODST, and Lofi Hiphop for a chill vibe for me.

Sometimes. EDM.

Last night I was up for something different so I threw on some Horace Silver great pianist and jazz musician.

I usually don’t listen to music while playing cuz it can be distracting for me but when I do I like to listen to Jack White on my phone his music is some kind of rock I don’t know if its rock or pop rock cuz he does both but alternate rock is my favorite I could listen to Trocadero over and over again lol
