Do you like the weapon tweaks 343i is making?

I personally do.

Think about it in terms of SWAT. We don’t need a DMR nerf because it’s already a bad weapon in SWAT. Making it have a lower rate of fire, less magnetism, and or less aim assist would make the BR the weapon that everyone is going to use in SWAT. It would just be better to give the BR a buff so that it doesn’t effect SWAT. The spread already makes the BR a great weapon in SWAT so why would you make it even better?
And would it make sense to have to make the DMR a bad weapon because all the other precision weapons are bad?

Thoughts? opinions? Leave them below!

Completely agree. Not only that, buf nerfing it would render it almost useless. 343 knows this, and have a team of professional gamers testing this over and over and over.

They are not professional lol…testing is a min wage job a teenager can get.

Usually pro players test games. Elimite tested halo 3.

I got into an argument with a guy about how 343 was “lazy”. If they were lazy, they would just nerf the DMR. I just hope that this weapon balancing is for the best.

Honestly I think that the DMR should have stayed in Reach but since the community would rage if they took it out or nerfed it to oblivion i think that what they are doing is best for everyone.

It’s awesome news. I love my BR.

343 is getting stuff done.

Yes, I like how they’re giving a slight buff to each of the weapons instead of just being lazy and nerfing the DMR. I feel that a DMR nerf would just rendering it as useless as the Halo: Reach Assault Rifle.

What professionals are testing this? Just curious
On topic though, I really do like the new tweaks. Kill times are back where they should be. I’m even practicing my 4 shot in Halo 3

They’re gonna buff the BR, CC and LR?

I hope they’re giving the LR more zoom.

That gun, was literally the only gun that was not meant to kill people.

Same with the Plasma Repeater and Plasma Rifle though. Gosh, is there a difference between the two?

Brings Assault Rifle and Repeater/Plasma Rifle to a DMR gun-fight.
DMR user: *rofl

the only thing I wish they would do is lower the aim assist on all of the guns, not just the automatics and the beam rifle.

The game is going to get very hectic with all the precision weapons being buffed. Casuals will be getting kills like crazy because getting head shots are easy. If 343i continues this route, they should reduce the aim assist and bullet magnitism for all the precision weapons.

Halo needs to go back to its roots. There needs to be a challange to hit that 4 shot kill with a Battle Rifle. People should be rewarded for aiming accurately and getting those perfect shots. #HaloNeedsASkillGap.

Can’t remember which was which (repeater and rifle), but one did more damage with shields up and the other did more damage with shields down.

Really, lol did not know that. I just remembered that when playing reach, never use a spray weapon.

All we wanted but a nerfed DMR and a buffed carbine. Thats all. Instead 343 decides to make more work for themselves and decides to re-do all precision weapons.

Most of the time, don’t use an automatic in Halo in general.

Automatics in Halo 4 are a lot better, though. Not worthless, but there are still better options to choose from.

Halo is mainly a precision-weapon game, I find. Headshots are the best shots.

I use the ar in this game, but that’s it. It’s the best for burst firing.

I have serious questions for 343i right now. Are they rebalancing the weapons for competitive gaming?

Having all the precision weapons buffed can really help the casuals because they’ll be able to get headshots easy due to the bullet magnitism and aim assist.

Will 343i make it challenging for players to perfect the 4 shot kill with the BR?
Reducing the aim assist and bullet magnitism for all the weapons will help balance the game.

The main question is…Are we going to see a Skill Gap?
