When the concept art trailer came out for Halo 4 this video I was really excited for the rest of the music for Halo 4 but after what has been unveiled so far it hasn’t been spectacular I was hoping for more of electronic feel or rock anthem in the soundtrack like Halo 2’s to me the soundtrack will end up similar to Halo 3s which kind of blew, ODSTs soundtrack was an improvement but No Halo 2 OST. I was thinking that 343 should have brought in a band to do a couple songs like they did with Halo 2. another thing that I would have liked is if instead of the metal gear solid guy they brought in Kelly Bailey the guy who did Half Life (I know he has a girls name so what wanna fight about). Here are some examples
Sector Sweep
Vortal Combat
Penultimatum

To me that one song we have the beat is too repetitive, and they are trying to be similar but different which is good but it’s to obvious. please don’t link leaked content.

What I am talking about.
I’ve loved everything I’ve heard so far from Halo 4’s sound department! When they first showed that compilation of samples from two songs from the Soundtrack I was mega-hyped and now that I heard the similarities between that and the track from the box-art video, but also heard the amazing differences, it just shows me how good 343 is at interpreting one piece of music in multiple different ways. I’m really looking forward to Halo 4’s OST and will be buying it as soon as possible!

You should remove that link before they crack down on you.
Personally, I love the new music. It fits.
Did you like the music in the art trailer more though is what I’m getting at.
i am so excited!!! it sounds great
Personaly i didnt play halo: 2 as much as others (probably should) i am pleased with the music now but i also noticed that in halo: 2 they used the electric guitar a lot more as they also did in halo: 3 ODST

Oh yes! I absolutely adore the soundtrack so far! It’s quite different from the music of past games, but definitely epic and very much Halo!
I listened to the first link and liked it till the end.
I didn’t like it because at the end, with my headphones all teh way up, that freaky noise came on.(You would think it was freaky if you were as paranoid and stupid as me.)
Jk. I think it will be cool from what I’ve heard, but I’ll miss H2 and Mr. Marty
I think for a Halo Game to be the best it needs these Three things all of which Halo 2 had
.Amazing campaign
.Great Multiplayer
.Kick -Yoink- soundtrack
I’m not saying I don’t like it but to me its more like meh, I know that we have only heard snippets of the soundtrack and I haven’t lost hope for the entire sountrack I’m Hoping for music that makes me think of a level in the game like this Delta Halo the waterfall nothing but Jackels and buggers or this damn shaky crane.
The music I have heard so far really gives me goosebumps, the soundtrack sample really sets a scene IMO.
…But we have only heard like 1-2 tracks.
I’m not too fond of the Halo 4 music I’ve heard so far…
Sure the new music has some differences, but its simply because their going with a more cinematic and movie approach. They want you to feel like your in that moment, not like theirs just a sudden soundtrack popping up in the middle of a major fight or story moment. I think the idea is to immerse you into the Halo world and make your adrenaline actually pump through that whole moment. Previous halo’s soundtracks had a more game relationship, they werent really made to give you the feeling of actual being there, or like you were playing a movie instead of your normal FPS.
The new soundtracks weve heard so far have a very alien approach to it, and emotional depth in general to let you feel more of a attachment to Master Chief I believe.

Finally someone who agrees with me.

I am dissapointed that the music doesn’t sound like the music from this video. which sounds more different and fresh, my complaint is it doesn’t sound different enough.
