Just be honest. Its a simple Yes or no question. I really hope everyone answers this so I can see where this community is headed
Yes.
I enjoy a few aspects of it. But im gonna have to say it. Multiplayer is terrible
I certainly enjoy it more than Reach.
In it’s current state, no. For a sequel it lacks features its predecessors had, and hasn’t gained anything substantial.
Not one bit
Do I think it’s a bad game? Absolutely not. Do I enjoy playing it? Absolutely not. As mentioned at the GDC, it was designed for newcomers. It doesn’t have a lot of what made me keep playing halo 2 and 3 years after they released while other games like COD were becoming wildly successful. I feel like it wasn’t designed for people like me, who enjoy the more classic halo gameplay. Things like armor abilities may be great for some people, but I can’t stand them. So while I don’t like the game, I won’t say that overall it’s a bad game.
Campaign was acceptable but short, everything else is lacking or changed when it didn’t need to be. No.
I dislike it more than I like it, so no.
> Not one bit
I could go in to detail but i don’t believe that’s what you’re asking for here. So No, i don’t enjoy it.
Campaign or multiplayer?
I mean, I liked both, but let’s not pretend matchmaking is the only thing in the game. Or perhaps even the most important.
I like it. Nothing more.
The game had potential… potential that would ultimately be thrown to the ground and kicked while it was down there as a result of the poor manner in which 343i managed the game.
A beta could have fixed a plethora of problems before the game launched, but it “didn’t fit into the schedule”; weapon balance, bug fixing ect. But… no beta. Smart move, huh?. I hope that 343i and -Yoink!- plan a beta for the next game, It would be VERY smart on their part.
Next is the utter lack of features that so many people expected. For whatever reason we only get theater in War Games. In all honesty and seriousness, I would love to know why that is. So many good moments in Campaign, SpOps, and Forge just thrown away.
Where was the File Browser at launch? What about ranks? You can make any excuse you want, excuses only satisfy those who give them. Those things should have definitely been there at launch. And also the mass of custom game options that for, a reason yet to be known, were thrown into the abyss. Flood is laughably untouchable.
The UI is an eye sore. They should have just built around Reach’s nice and sleek UI instead of throwing it in a fire and then trying to reinvent the wheel. They also somehow managed to give us a buggy UI to top it off.
But seeing passed that great wall of obvious problems, I manage to squeeze in a bit of enjoyment for the sake of Halo, until after I become bored and begin to play Skyrim or Minecraft (those games never fail me).
Like I said, I do enjoy the game, even if it’s just a little. I’m aware that this is 343s first game. But I hope that they can look back and see how and how not to do things, and as a result make Halo 5 a vast improvement over 4.
I don’t like it as much as when I play Halo 3. Thats all I will say.
Campaign… yeah, sort of.
Spartan Ops… yeah, but it didn’t get good until Episode 6.
Everything else that has general staying power for me (multiplayer, custom games, forge, theater)… no, because they are dumbed down versions of their predecessors.
That’s the truth about how I feel. Overall, I don’t enjoy it as much as its predecessors (even -Yoinking!- REACH!).
Halo is for the casuals now. Game takes no skill.
I wouldn’t be playing it if I didn’t.
That said, there’s a lot to improve.
No. I don’t like Halo 4: Modern Warfare.
Love it.
Sure.
