I know we trust 343i to deliver us a halo game, but it seems some people have completely given up on halo. So do you have hope for halo 5, I know I do…
With the experience they’ve gained throughout Halo 4’s development and lifespan, I’d say Halo Xbox One will be a great game.
Yes, I do, they made mistakes, but I’m sure they’ll get it sorted for the next game, Halo 4 was not a bad game, and many problems started in Halo Reach, I’m hopeful.
My faith has fluctuated a bit like the stock market. When they initially came onto the scene, I had high hopes. Frank O’Conner running the show? -Yoink- yeah! Halo: Legends and Halo: Evolutions come out and it goes higher. Then we get Glasslands and my hopes take a nose-dive. They rise again with Cryptum, go down again with Thursday War, go up with Primordium and then take another huge nose-dive with Halo 4 and Spartan Ops, mostly because of this.
Now Silentium boosted my faith a bit, but Halo: Initiation #1 took it down a peg. So yeah, I’m kinda running on empty.
Halo 4 was a start
To build up the trilogy
It was like halo CE
A new beginning
Halo 4 was extremely good in my opinion.
Just lots of things missing
My top 3 halos were
3-Halo 4
2-Halo 2
1-Halo 3

Man you are so worked up over that, get over it.

Now, now, everyone has their opinion, while I think Halo 4 was great that scene in particular was crap, Halsey does not deserve to be executed
Faith is a big word.
I trust them to try their best.
The whole Halsey thing got blown up. Just kill her properly or leave it
I have faith that Halo 5 will be awesome. It might not be the best in the series, but it’s definitely going to be a lot better than Halo 4 and I liked Halo 4 (even amongst all its faults).

I seriously don’t get the hate for that scene. Can people here not stomach that crappy things happen to good people?

Just answering the OP’s question. After 12 years of dedication to the franchise, I can’t help it if one of my favorite characters gets treated like absolute garbage for the past few years all culminating in that scene created by a writer at 343i who blatantly came out and said she is a monster without providing any context for those words in a Bulletin.
I apologize if I expect better from the folks who act as Halo’s new caretakers when dealing with an important character that has been the subject of numerous serious discussions and debates since the franchise began other than “Convenient plot device we can muddy up and compare to Nazis when we feel like making a cheap and easy point about morality”.

I’m more annoyed that Palmer wasn’t even ordered to execute it (Osman ordered Lasky so he should choose), she then directly disobeyed an order from Lasky to stand down, then goes to execute a civilian, that scene is complete crap

I’m annoyed that the person who’s running the entire Spartan Program on the UNSC infinity is such a headstrong moron who can’t think for 2 seconds about what she’s doing.
I mean, you’re provided with a choice on who to shoot. The most valuable Civilian in existence who is likely the entire reason the human race as a whole still exists, or a seven foot tall alien ringleader who you’ve been trying to kill for months. The logical person would blast the Alien, but ohhh no, not Palmer.
And then that lovely little childish fit she throws when the battle is over just ties that scene all together.
OT: If Halo 4 and 343i’s design plan is anything to base my judgement off of, no I don’t have a whole lot of faith in 343i.
I’ll wait though, maybe they did learn and maybe they didn’t. I’m willing to give them another chance.

Thats because not many people understand her thus making her a more appealing character to the reader due to you feeling sorry for not getting recognition and develops the other characters who feel sorry for her too such as lasky in a sense. Plus it helps with story telling because if she got massive credit there wouldnt be that much to write about here in the present stages of the halo universe.
That scene wasn’t crap, it’s Palmer. She’s way too by-the-books and annoying in general.
343 has delivered updates that the competitive community needed. It hasn’t brought back the numbers, but it has shown that they know what needs to be implemented into Halo 5 from launch. Plus, with the Global Championship, it seems like they have e-Sports in mind for the future. There are still plenty of things missing from Halo 4 that needs to be in the next game, but I’m sure that 343 is aware of what the Halo community is pleading them for and I’m sure they’re watching community members’ videos and looking at feedback. Most importantly, they need to look at feedback from the competitive community. I hope they’re watching AGLs, Saucey vids, and Gandhi’s Thoughts (no matter how much I know that 343 dislikes Gandhi and his outspokenness, what he says in his vids are the truth).

I was just kidding.
I like all the halo’s are good but I’m sure 343 learned from there mistakes from halo 4 although I thought it was a good game.
I still have faith.
It’s hard to tell. Halo 4 did not do so great, and people say they are a new company but many of them come from other companies. So it’s not like they are all new to game developing. And it’s also being rushed. Honestly if Bungie was still making it I would expect a 2015 release. But we can only hope.
