Do you have any disappointments on Halo Infinite ?

I kind of hate most of Halo Wars 2s art style and don’t really want the jarring blur cinematics. They look nice but also look weightless and Imo I’d rather have beautiful in engine cutscenes like they’ve shown by far.

I can’t say I’m disappointed because I haven’t played the game but the elements I’d say I do find a little off so far are some of the Covenant look a bit too cartoony for my taste but that may have changed since we last saw them in action and I kind of hate 343s warthog engine noises. The rest is a wait and see.

Originally I thought what they’ve shown story wise seemed very odd and cut together, lacking context but now that I know they’re doing everything in a single shot it makes a lot more sense to me. I also really liked the last campaign cinematic they showed.

I hope they keep tight lipped on the campaign so it’s a surprise.

The multiplayer looks like a better more grounded Halo 5 to me, I’m hoping the aiming isn’t as difficult as it appears to be, but I thought it looks like it plays well and does away with a lot of what i hated about halo 5. No armour abilities is good too.

I don’t like clamber either. Slide also doesn’t belong in halo imo. Other than that the game looks good. I hope the maps don’t require players to use clamber on most jumps like h5.

Infinite is looking spectacular and I have no doubts it will blow the community out of the park.

Did anyone else notice that you have to hold down a button to pick up grenades?

For the most part i’m liking what i’m seeing unlike 4 and 5. My main gripe is the medals.
1.) they’re too small in regards to screen real estate, hopefully that’s a ui toggle like they have with some things
2.) they disappear too quickly
3.) most importantly it looks like they’re going with the same bland design they had in 4 and 5

the TLDR is ungratefulness and basically saying 343 should just re-release Halo 2 or 3 again.

Infinite looks great. A fantastic blend of classic look with modern design.

My two main issues are with the friend or foe system and the assault rifle.

  • The current friend or foe system is straight garbage. They’ve only released one game and already I’ve seen a situation where it was impossible to distinguish whether a spartan was friend or foe. I’m not sure if it was mentioned, but they NEED to have an option for adding service tags above team-mates like h3 or reach. It may not perfectly solve the issue, but it would help.

  • AR TTK seems it may be a tad fast, but it might be fine. For me, the main issue is the effective range seems insane. There’s no way a player should be opting to tap fire their AR instead of use their pistol for an enemy who is halfway across the map. And yet, this is what i saw.

Will give it a proper watch later but these are the two issues which stood out to me.

No assassinations at launch they said. I expect them to be added in the future from the explanation given yesterday.

As much stuff I have seen, in the tech preview, the matches felt rather quiet. I don’t know why it just feels quiet from time to time, but I haven’t heard any ambience sounds yet, and I hope to see some in the tech preview!
