…will you be able to do it for Halo 4?
My friends and I always wait until all 4 of us have the game and we play Legendary Co-Op from start to finish. Then we run MM.

Mine: Stick myself with a plasma nade in custom games
Play Campaign until my head explodes. I buy Halo 4 for Campaign and stay for Campaign and Multiplayer.
Do campaign on Heroic solo, then go into forge and get a good overveiw of all the maps, then right into matchmaking I go.
Forge first, alone.
Then campaign on normal, when friends come online.
Play custom games with random starter weapons. Can you still do this in Halo 4?

Yes. You can do everything in Halo 4’s custom games as you could with Reach’s, and more.

How do you guys handle the lag?
I always play through at least half of the campaign, play a little bit of mutliplayer and then back to finishing the campaign.
mine is to place a wall in forge and try to snipe myself
This is generally my Halo life cycle
Lock myself in my basement the weekend after release.
Insert disk, wait for opening credits. Select new campaign, wait for loading screen, play.
I assume that with Halo 4 I will be able to insert the disk, ignore the Campaign completely, jump into matchmaking and . . .
run for the rockets.
That is my M.O.
Read the manual on the first day, play MM with friends, then play campaign on normal on the weekend.
My Halo tradition: humiliate the AI in every Halo game I can get.
CE : Manipulation is my tool of destruction. I brought a Zealot to the end of Two Betrayals on Legendary. Killed a lot of Flood for me. Very cheap but it’s good use of talent. I also assassinated an Elite right as I got out of a hog. Assassinated 10 Elites on Silent Cartographer without being detected. Assassinated nearly all of the Elites up to the outside battle (with the marines and the Wraith) on AotCR.
H2 : pwned 4-6 Ultra Elites at Cairo Station’s bomb room, SLASO (segmented effort) using a small box as cover. On Legendary, I used a small box as cover so I could hit every one of them with noob combo. Just 1 spot. Never lost my shield.
H3 : assassinated 5-7 Brutes within 5 seconds of each other
Reach : assassinated waves of Covies that got dropped off by the infinitely spawning dropships on LNoS, easily dispatched every Zealot, killed the Ultra Elite at the top of the Spire and the Field Marshal by dancing, pwned 4 Ultra Elites at the end of LNoS using a blockade, used tall grass to my advantage to kill 2 Ultras without retaliation
H4 […]: my goal is to completely obliterate the Promethean menace in every way possible. I expect a worthy challenge, one where I am matched with an equal.
Not blind savages who need the game’s blessing to support them in every way possible.
Not stupid fodder who don’t know the meaning of cover.
Not incoherent prey who don’t know when to run.
The AI in previous games (besides CE and H2) were worthless, cowardly, and insignificant challenge.
I have always done one to three campaign missions before fighting in Multi-player.

Couldnt have said it better myself.
Play through the game the day I get it.
Step 1: Read manual while game is installing to hard drive.
Step 2. Watch opening cinematic.
Step 3. Customize Spartan and look through the menus.
Step 4. Go into forge and see new weapons and vehicles.
Step 5. Campaign on normal for the story.
Step 6. Multiplayer and maybe Spartan Ops if friends are online.
Step 7. Campaign on Legendary.
