Forums on new game launches are truly the most joyous time. It’s always a wonderful wonderful read. If you purchased the Master Chief Collection, you have the right to be frustrated. Before you jump to hate though, realized the size and scope of this game. It wasn’t just built from the ground up for Xbox One. It is four games that were previously released for different consoles, updated and ported into one package for a new system. Halo Anniversary, Halo 3, and Halo 4 were all built for 360 and the previous Xbox Live services. Halo 2, was build for the original Xbox, 10 years ago! They are coded completely different. I’m no programmer or expert myself, but I believe that it takes a tremendous amount of work to port a single game, let alone four. On top of porting, they actually created many new features, redid many of the graphics, and added a significant amount of content to boot. All while working on 2 other games in the franchise. Really, what they have created is incredible! Take a second to appreciate what you have. There may be some bugs to work out, but once it’s ironed out, YOU’LL HAVE ALL 4 HALO GAMES TO PLAY IN ONLINE MULTIPLAYER!! That’s insane! It is the greatest love letter to fans, and I for one am more than willing to sit back and play the campaigns and with friends while I wait for patches and updates to roll out. There are 450 achievements to work on! So take a moment, breathe into a paper bag, and then play. Or hop on Destiny again for a day or two!
