I really love halo 2s gameplay in multiplayer and campaign I really hope they either make the gameplay like halo 2 or 3 or even combat evolved but please not like reach! Do you guys agree that it should be like halo 2?
I agree. But your username might bring in a lot of trolls lol.
I know but I didn’t mean to make it this it was messed up because my screen was partially closed and it enter codfan56 so… yeah. lol but seriously I don’t even play cod anymore… it sucks.
Yes, except for the super bounce and button glitches just to give kids a even playing field. Granted not Bungie’s sense of “even”… Reach.
> I agree. But your username might bring in a lot of trolls lol.
Second time I’ve seen a comment about his GT, lol. I’d recommend everyone just disregard it. GT isn’t a pure representation of a player, it’s just a name. Anyway, I’d like Halo 4 to be the traditional Halo with AA except Armor Lock… That is Reach IMO so a better version of Reach, I guess. But I’m open to whatever innovative ideas 343i comes up with.
i dont know ive bought every i mean every halo game but 2 (had some private problems at the time) i liked CE and 3 its more skillful thn reach
I’d certainly enjoy it. Simplicity makes Halo gameplay amazing.
Ive said it a hundred times and I’ll say it again…return to the roots! I like the saying if it aint broke dont fix it!
Halo 2 post TU was a great game even if you disregard the button glitches. sure the glitches made it more competitive but it was still a great game regardless. I do think Halo 2 is what they should shoot for. HaloCE while being my favorite of the series I believe would turn off a lot of new players from starting as it was a game that was very difficult to master and to be honest HaloCE worked better 2v2 then 4v4 and I know 4v4 has become the standard.
I would like to see AAs be removed and go back to powerup pickups like camo and OS. To compensate for sprint being removed I would like to see a significantly faster movement speed and I would like the strafe acceleration to be faster and tighter.
I personally dont care if they bring the BR back as I believe a single shot weapon with no bloom is more competitive then a burst weapon with no bloom, But honestly I can handle either.
It probably seems like I am opting for much more simplistic gameplay but actually I believe the weapon sandbox should have more variety. I dont think they all have to be used on every map but I like the idea that people can tailor the weapon set to their liking.
One major change I would like to see that kind of strays from the simplistic style of Halo 2 is, I really think its time we saw individual damage modifiers for all weapons and nades. To me it will save a lot of complaints from various communities that prefer to play the game a different way.
So i guess I believe while Halo 4 should be focused around the play style of Halo 2 I dont think that means they cant add more options for customization
I mean Halo 2 was great but some maps were cramped, thank god there was no sprint lol. But now the maps are more evenly spaced and larger. More area= more running room. They can only go bigger and badder now, if they do anything they should have a dual multiplayer like the old and reachs. Seperate ranks for each, Classic and Modern. But lets see what happens…
No.
Turn nostalgia goggles to MAX!
> Turn nostalgia goggles to MAX!
Ok .
Halo: CE doesn’t really provide me with quality nostalgia, neither does Halo 2. They only provide me with a template to based all future FPSs off of to see where they stand in competitive-ness. And let me say this, Reach… fails.

I hated button glitches in Halo 2. I really dont care if they were hard to do cheating is cheating. I’m probably going to get flamed for that but that’s how I feel about the Halo 2 button glitches. As far as AAs I think some should stay however I wanted them treated more like power ups. What I mean by that is I don’t think anyone should ever be able to spawn with one. I want some of the AAs to be pickups on the map, but I also think that AL and invs should be dropped as AAs. Make invis a power up and bring back OV thats what I would like for Halo 4
The WORST thing 343i can do is try to ‘build’ off of Reach to make H4 an improved vers. of Reach.
The only thing they should use from Reach is the netcode, GUI and the main engine.
NO Loadouts, NO Healthpacks, No AA’s, accurate weapons, player & vehcile mechanix.
I hardly played H2, so how do you mean?
Yes, something between H2 and H3. Reach took some chances but overall they didn’t really work. I wouldn’t mind being given the option for AA’s/Health packs in custom games because there are a lot of fun things you can do with them but not for matchmaking. Oh and definitely remove bloom.
yes i agree with having the game play as halo 2 or 3 it has the kind of feeling that halo reach does not have. but the main thing i want from this next halo game is to be given a choice to play as a different character like a flood human or elite or brute (one with a shield) or maybe a hunter or just brute i prefer a flood or hunter tho. i like how the halo 3 assult rifle looks compared to the halo reach one. Along with the halo ce needler spikes color. I hope that 343i will let us play as the flood in infection and custom games or brutes/hunters in custom games.

I hear what you’re saying, I just feel like there is a fine line that every gamer flirts with on what is and isnt considered cheating. To me cheating is giving yourself an advantage that other players cant do with relative ease. Examples would be host booting, lag switching, standby, Modding ect… I consider button glitches, map exploits, ect… to be just that glitching…A simple google search can show you how to pull off the Halo 2 glitches with relative ease…should they be put there intentionally, No of course not, BUT they were there and to not take advantage of them on principle is silly as they really did add a new layer of skill to the game and i really wouldnt consider it cheating perse

This should have happened in Halo 2. Bungie is too damn stubborn.

Yeah, no nostalgia there… Halo: CE was played almost entirely on LAN with people you knew, so people forget how absurd some of the weapons were. People are more forgiving when their friends are cheap vs Randies on Live.
Halo 2’s online experience was completely wrecked by some atrocious maps, years of cheating, easy griefing, annoying glitches, worthless starting weapons for most gametypes, and a ridiculous advantage for whoever was host. Oh, and enormous lag compensation/auto aim. Definitely competitive.
Stop comparing the BEST parts of Halo CE/2/3 to the WORST parts of Reach. Every game has its own flaws.
