So first of all I’d like to give you some background. I’m studying psicology at college and as an assignment I must deliver I choose video games and how they take a part on the human mind.
That said, a topic I wanted to cover was halo and in particular how people give items of the game some real life value. The porpoise is not to judge as I do give value to my reqs here and there. I would really appreciate it if someone can contribute to my assignment by answering this question: do you give reqs a real life value? If so, why?
Thanks to anyone who replies.
A college student that doesn’t know the difference between someone’s intentions and a marine mammal? Murika!!!

Even TAs require you to spell the name of your field correctly. purpose, not porpoise. Don’t feel like going over the syntax.
How are you planning on evaluating the data? Do you have a scale in mind? Do you mean monetary value or sentimental value? I’m kind of curious what your assignment was and how you are going to use this data to pass muster.
Reqs have no monetary value to me. I don’t spend money on them. Sentimental value again no. I would prefer to have certain reqs, but if I die with one and don’t get to use it, it doesn’t particularly bother me. My helljumper helmet I probably do value to some degree, mainly because I’ve been wearing some version of ODST as long as it has been a thing so I consider it a part of my normal self-expression. I have all the armors, except the one you had to pay money for. I don’t consider them to be of value in anyway though.
While req packs can be bought with real money… no I do not place any real value on reqs. While I have bought some req packs with real money I only consider it part of my entertainment. It’s not much different than people who go to movies all the time, sporting events, or whatever.
So you want us to help you with your homework? /s
Do I value my reqs? Yes. I haven’t spent money on the game to buy req packs, so I feel like I actually worked for them.

I’m not American. Sorry for my English I guess.

I’m not asking you to help me with my homework. The assignment is an essay. With the essay you have to put some real data of who you came to conclusions. So if I say hey people don’t give a damn about spending some digital guns and I have no way to prof it. That was the point of this treat, to ask around if anyone could just say no or yes. That’s it.
Also for privacy manners, the people who answer won’t be named. It’s just to put a number of how many said no or yes.
Personally, I don’t really give them any value. Sure, I might get annoyed when my brother threatens to sell my entire collection, but they aren’t a physical, tangible object that I can form an attachment to.

I was joking about helping you with your homework.
Yes, I give value to my reqs
This will actually be good research for your essay as its not just copying secondary research. Your getting your own research which is good.
To answer your question, yes, there are some reqs i value more than others simply because i don’t have many of them and i am acraid of calling in a mythic weapon and dyiny straight away. For example, i value the Spnker ex much more than i do the regular version as i have less and could very possibly not even get to use it.
If i had lots of every req and probably wouldn’t care.
I only value ultra rare and legendary reqs.
IMO they have value, but are not valuable. They have value in time or money. They are not valuable to me.
