Do you get XP faster if you fail multiple WZFF?

Random thought but time to XP ratio, would you ultimately gain more XP from failing FF at say rounds 2 or 3 than if you succeed in all 5 rounds over a course of say 10 games?

Not that I’d throw a match but it gets me wondering since you get most of the XP regardless of success.

Technically, in terms of time, failing at round 3-4 gives the most xp per time.

I’m not sure, but I’ve heard stories of new players who don’t have any reqs going into Mythic WZFF with no intention to win, just for the RP they get from losing. That situation is another reason why I really hope the req system doesn’t return in Halo 6. I have also played firefight with people who do absolutely nothing but occasionally nudge the controller to prevent getting afk booted, presumably because they want the XP/RP but without having to do anything. That is probably the best way to get XP from firefight but I report those players every time I see it happening.

That’s pretty awful, I would at least run round and kill off crawlers and grunts if I was going that sort of route.

Yeah it’s terrible. And when I said “the best way”, I of course didn’t mean to condone that action. I just meant the highest ratio of payoff to effort. I’m pretty sure it’s against the code of conduct or something to afk boost in games.

There’s really no rule that says you can’t, but it’s just plain mean to your team mates.

Possibly. Not sure how much legendary or mythic would give out, but in Heroic you’d probably get around 5-7K depending on how long the rounds were and using a boost. You’d probably be better off just playing a double XP playlist like the Weapon Tuning playlist and use a boost which would give close to the same results and a potential short game. You also wouldn’t have to play in a big party to throw the match or hope that your teammates suck in FF.
