If 343i adds more gamemodes and maps in the future everything will be fine!
They made a solid core for multiplayer and a good weapon balancing in my opinion!

I haven’t played in the past several days and I’ve just been playing Fallout. I might get back on for BTB but since it’s ranked and has no “real” maps I’m not sure how much I’ll play it.
Dying…perhaps not. But, I will say the folks that are on my friends list that did play are now off playing other games that just came out. I also have noticed it takes alot longer to form a group in matchmaking. Though not sure if that’s the matchmaking system or a lack of players. Swat is taking forever anymore…
idk anout you peeps but I like warzone assault but the same 3 maps over…and over…and over…is pretty damn annoying.
Why does everyone think its dying, surely its only dead when either no one is playing the game (which is doubtful) or 343 takes the servers down.

Yes, none of my friends even play it now and I know a lot of hardcore Halo fans.
Well technically speaking, the online population has taken a hit since launch, but that is understandable.
Halo 5 for many was mediocre, and then juggernauts like CoD, Rise of the Tomb Raider (the reboot series has been doing well) and Fallout 4 (THE hypetrain) all came out around the same time. There was no way that Halo 5 wasn’t going to take a hit population-wise, though it remains to be seen if that was a very significant hit, as I’m still finding matches fairly quickly.
I believe we will have a better idea of where the population is heading after the holidays.

Halo 5 isn’t loosing steam because of those games. Right now, HALO 5 sucks! Look at all the issues. More and more people are leaving the game. Not for Black ops, Fallout, or Tomb Raider but everything that’s wrong with it. It’s 1 thing they need to do is nerf the magnum then the lobbies would stay full. Believe it or not that’s the one reason people are quiting. It’s not that many people who discuss halo on the forum compared to people who don’t go on the forum. That’s just 1 thing out of so many others.

If compared to other Halo titles, H5 is arguably a mediocre game overall. This I won’t disagree with, and the issues that are present need to be addressed.
However…
To imply that other titles such as CoD, Rise of the Tomb Raider and especially Fallout 4 have no impact on the population is simply foolish. Not to mention that Battlefront will also be released very soon.
Also… I’m going to assume you’ve either never played a Fallout title or you don’t care for them, which is fine. However… You need to understand that Fallout 4 has been THE hypetrain since before it was even announced. Seriously, the only other game that people have been requesting near that level is Half-Life 3.
Also read an article on FB last night saying that PornHub actually had a drop in traffic due to the release of Fallout 4. If it can do that? Then it can dent H5s player base. Easily.
