Do you get the feeling like halo 5 is dying?

It’s understandable to see a player drop with big games like Black Ops 3 and Fallout 4 getting released, and with Star Wars Battlefront and Rainbow Six Siege around the corner. But is Halo 5 dying? I doubt that very much.

Despite its current lack of modes and weak map rotation on Arena, there’s going to be more modes and maps released in the future FOR FREE, and there’s still a good chunk of people playing.

Dont fret about player count and just enjoy the game.

Once Reach comes out for Xbox One you can see that list make a mixtape drop

Black ops 4 and Fallout 4 literally just dropped, and I can still click a playlist and have a match in a few seconds, and I’m in the UK… Not to mention, Christmas hasn’t even come and gone yet, and by the time it does and more people get it, the additional content will have dropped. So its weathered two triple A launches which were hyped to -Yoink- (especially Fallout 4.). If it can survive Battlefront then it has a very good chance of maintaining its position as one of the big games on Xbox. Plus, players may filter back from Fallout as its single player, and I know some people who switch between Halo and Blops depending on their mood, so it is still bringing people back to play.

I think the game will be fine, at least for the winter. Next year, I cant say; There are games coming out next year which may pull even more people away, so we’ll see if those get more hyped near launch to the point they may tear players away.

tl;Dr: If Halo 5 survives Battlefront, it’ll be fine

I’m more worried about MCC’s population count because I simply couldn’t find a match in the Halo 2 Anniversary playlist yesterday, it seems that only Team Action Sack got me with other players. I’m going to try out other playlists such as BTB to see if I can get into matches later today.

Could you please point to a credible source that shows the numbers are “dying really fast.”

If there are people out there who feel the same way I do about the game; bored, then yes I imagine it will have a pretty quick decline. I don’t think it will ever “die.” Heck, Halo 4 never died, but that doesn’t mean it was flooded with population. I think Halo 5 will be popular longer than Halo 4 and always be online playable, but it will still be a small minority compared to the first 4 main titles.

I can’t see the official stats either, other than Halo 5 is already on the decline as far as most played on XBL. But with so many games coming out right now they set themselves up for that. Interestingly though, in my own experience, I find myself often getting matched up with the same people in Arena, but not so much in Warzone. I think more people play Warzone because this game is kind of catered to it. The Warzone population is what will keep Halo around, just like the casuals hung around in Halo 4. But the competitive scene will get bland quick if they don’t add in some entertaining features.

Feels like I payed for half a game and I’m expected to wait an unknown period of time for the rest to show up, some of which we don’t even know if they intend to deliver.

> The entire game was made overly competitive to cater to some players when I’m sure the majority of Halo players are average at best and just play for fun with their friends after they get out of school/work. Most Halo games have had a few “hardcore” playlists for the “tryhards” to flock to allowing the rest of us to enjoy the game but in Halo 5 all playlists are geared towards competitive nonsense. Then Warzone is shoved down our throats as the craptastic alternative to Arena, as if that clusterfudge is supposed to satisfy everyone who used to enjoy playing social playlists in Halo.

Then why are you still playing?

Well, Warzone does seem to be the go-to option for players that simply want more REQ points per game. It can be a good motivation to stay in a losing game of Warzone, simply because of the payout in the end, though it can get a little boring at times.

I believe they said something about adding new game types in early December (including forge)

Lol I stand behind half of what you said.

This game is amazing BO3 and fallout fans where always going to go but halo will never die and as far as the halo reach comments to reach was fantastic

I think the difference in finding games between MCC and 5 answer your question…

Yeah other games are chipping away at Halo 5s player count but you can still find matches in every mode so I would say there is still a lot of people playing.

Well, I played black ops III, and the multiplayer is meh to the max. Same old crap but with wall running and really stupid kill streaks (rolling exploding barrels of doom?) The zombies was fun though so there’s that.

And Fallout just came out so many people are neck deep in that game, myself included but being a single player game soon monotony will set in and people will return to halo 5.

Battlefront was a disgrace after playing the beta and probably won’t keep a steady population.

I don’t ever have to wait long before finding a match. Admittedly some of my friends who used to be on Halo 5 all the time are now playin other games since Fallout 4 and BO are now out, but generally speaking the game and community are still strong. I expect this to continue as more challenging Brent and maps and modes get released

I think people have moved on to BO3 and Fallout 4 but I think they will probably come back after they get bored, I mean there’s only so many Kill Confirmed and Zombies you can take.

It’ll be less for sure with so many big games out the gamer population is spread out m, that being said I don’t have much issue at all finding any match even warzone

It’s not dying. With the release of other games like fallout 4, Bo3 and star wars the population of halo will decline. But with Christmas just around the corner it should increase again. A lot of people will have halo 5 for Christmas. It makes no difference if we lose population to other games. True halo fans will keep playing and I would much prefer a solid, friendly halo community, no mater the size.

halo 5 dying ? no. there is still people on halo4 , even halo 3, we will play halo 5 for long long times … spartans never die
