Never have any problems finding matches so I think it is fine, also there a ton of games out right now, I think the population will stay consistent for a while. With monthly updates I could see it being akin to Destiny, it will rarely be the number 1 game being played but will have a consistent group of people who check back in to play a couple of rounds. That is my plan, in order to balance the game with all the other games I want to play that are coming out.

Fallout 4 certainly takes away from the population, but they will return in time. I never understood the concept of playing one game at a time. I like to rotate, play Halo 5 at one point in the day, Fallout 4 another point…
Either way, I don’t care about exact population numbers. Even Halo 4 still has enough of a population to get into games - that’s enough for me.
Plus, 343’s taking the long road with Halo 5. Continuous support. Adding new things for free post-launch. They’ve gone so far as to NAME their newest update.

I love Halo 5, but all my friends are playing Black Ops 3. None of my friends even own Halo. So yea, I think it’s dying a little

Halo i dead since 343. Only marketing stuff of MS is telling us about great opening, sales and stuff… but you all have to open your eyes and dont believe every good news. Halo is dead. I go back to MCC. Now it is not so bad game (collection), when I saw terrible Halo 5

Not bashing your whole post but what does naming an update prove? Lol.
The one thing we have to remember is something that is outside of video games: People’s attention spans are shorter than ever. What with so many distractions and shiny new social media apps etc.
When CE came out the ability to connect consoles and have more than 2 players playing simultaneously was revolutionary. It was like Pong 2.0. A beginning of a whole new era of video games. But that was 14 years ago. Aeons in technology terms.
H2 and H3 rode the momentum CE created. But that is gone.
H5 will be fine. Halo will be fine. Nothing will ever dominate like H1-H3 did until the next big breakthrough. Which will probably be something like 3D. And the game that dominates that might be nothing like an fps…
haters gonna hate. I think this game is really good, besides a small lack of content, which will be fixed soon. Req packs are cool, spartan abilities are awesome, weapons are balanced pretty good, etc. So all you haters, just one question.
